10 seasons would be a pipe dream. Remember that Amazon cancelled The Expanse after season 6, in which they reduced the number of episodes from 10 to 6 due to "financial considerations". The Expanse was a favorite of Bezos, yet that didn't seem to matter. Remember that Amazon is spending huge amounts of money for the The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series. My guess is that they'll end up going about 4-5 seasons, and by then the most loyal WoT fans will have stopped watching the show and given the show so many negative reviews that Amazon will just end the series before wrapping up the story. Personally I hope we get 10 seasons, but I wouldn't bet on it.

For many of you who are ripping the show apart, have you watched the "Look Inside" bonus segments for each episode? They really add some perspective on why creative decisions are being made for the tv show at the cost of not following the book to the core. I think by understanding their decisions, it could give some level of acceptance to you.

My wife and I are very happy with the adaption. Of course they're going to make major changes to the series, and realistically the most we can hope for is about 5-7 seasons. Even in the books, probably half of the books had nothing going on, and I remember the utter disappointment of only seeing Nynaeve for about 2 chapters in one of the middle books.

In today's streaming environment such as Tik Tok and YouTube, no one wants to even watch an hour show anymore. I remember that when I worked for DirecTV, they were counting a valid streamer if they watched a couple minutes of a show.
