Afternoon I used to visit this site years ago to see what people thought of certain characters and to pick up anything I might have missed.
I first started reading the books when they came out as a teenager and had the pleasure of getting Fires of Heaven signed by the author in my home town. I thoroughly enjoyed the books and looked forward to the release each year until A Crown of Swords was delayed by a good few years. As this was pretty much before the internet was widely available I even made a journey to the publisher in London to find out when the hell it would be coming out such was my fascination with the series then. I have reread the series over the years many times and was looking forward (but also worried) about the TV series.

Obviously this is just my thoughts on the first episode and things that I found fault with may make sense in later episodes. I was concerned that it may have the look of so many poor fantasy films and part of it did have.
Tam's farm thought was spot on
Two river's did not need the impressive backdrop and I feel this may detract from some of the places they visit in the future.
Mat was a scoundrel and joker but certainly not a thief although I can get why they may try and portray that early doors
Perrin married was WTF moment
The one power scenes where portrayed well
Trollocs and fades done really well
Braid scene gave the idea of a brutal people rather than what they where
I know its fashionable now to be gender fluid but the dragon can only be male....he can't be born male or female.
