I mean when Brandon Sanderson takes over? I'm 49 pages away from the end of Knife of Dreams and I put off finishing it a little bit because I'm unsure of the next three books. Sometimes when an author takes over for another author it can be pretty bad - I mean all authors are different.
Does it change very much or does he try and keep it as close as he can to the original tone?

I am an extremely fresh newbie to wot. I picked up maybe 2 weeks ago. I’ve had most of the books for years and was about to get rid of them until I started reading Terry Brooks Shannara series. Which I love (I’m a fan of camp - no shame) and I just decided what the heck; why not read wot - I lived through Terry’s camp so I can live through Robert’s camp too.
And then I turned to the first page and I have not looked back. I swear I have not been this hooked on a book series in years. It’s amazing and I’m so glad that I didn’t get rid of this series! Everytime I finish a book I’m so disappointed that it ended. It’s so nice to read a book series where the author hasn’t gotten bored by the second book and has turned the whole series to trash.
I guess long story short this series is now one of my top favorites and is officially tied for first place with LOTR. I know that being a newbie I will be taken for some wild rides with this story but I’m really looking forward to it with this series.
Is this too long? I feel like it’s too long. I’m just very excited to have found this series my goodness
How much does the series tone change in the last 3 books?

I did go ahead and start A Gathering Storm and I did enjoy the prologue. I was pleasantly surprised - I mean both authors are obviously very different. But I do appreciate that Brandon Sanderson worked really hard on these last three books.
I also appreciate everyone giving me their opinions on how the 2 authors handled the books.
