The idea that Rand could have no idea that Masema is mad or plain just a sociopath going around causing 10 times more bad then good in his name is absurd. This whole part of the series is BS tbh..

Then there are the absurd nonsense parts of the Faile+Perrin+Shido+Gallina story line that would turn the stomach of anyone who does not actively suppress their own brain functions..

The worst part is how all of a sudden Perrin's magical "nose" powers do not work at all while he questions Gallina which is patently absurd. Nearly everything she says is a lie. The parts where she promises things about Faiel, well one would think Perrin would be super concentrated on making sure about her responses.. The whole thing just disgusts me no end. 

I kept wanting to put a lengthy split bamboo stick to the bare soles of... While suffering thru them..

It is exceedingly hard to suspend disbelief or rather not think critically while listening to the story when it comes to the current economy and evolution that should have taken place in society over 3000 years..

Passed book 10 it becomes really hard since it sounds like there should be no food.. Nearly 1 year of scorching summer then a horrendous prolonged winter in a semi medieval society where large parts of stored food magically rots.. There should be much more death by starvation and disease..

Then there is other absurd freaky issues which just.. well to my mind everyone should already have died from starvation etc before they even get to the last battle..

What I dislike most about the series is how stupidity is consistently used as a plot device(pile driver) to prolong the pain that in truth The Wheel Of Time is.

The only character that I found bearable(not to stupid) was Lan and that's just sad since Lan is a secondary character.  

I would probably have no issues what so ever with any of Robert Jordan's characters if they weren't depicted as being so absurdly stupid/slow witted. They nearly always draw the wrong conclusions do the wrong thing and so on, its not just the slightly wrong headed and illogical ones either. Say there where 10 bad choices the tenth being the worst, then that's the one which..

I am currently re-reading The Path Of Daggers and tbh I doubt if I will be able to get thru it. I have barely made it 20 minutes into the first chapter about Perrin and here I am adding this reply..

The ending of A Crown Of Swords was in my opinion actually worse then the rest of the book which in itself was the blandest book up to that point in the series, as a whole it was way to dragged out and just daft.

Now to the "ending" the fight between Sammael and Rand. It was just pitiful and totally unbelievable. All of a sudden the *fool does nothing about the wards in Shadar Logoth then he goes and kills Lian the maiden of the spear which he left for dead.

He doesn't just kill her to save her from being killed horribly by Mashadar with say a ball of fire or something more "humane", no he uses Balefire to kill her which doesn't only kill her but erases her from the pattern making it impossible for her to be reborn in any other turning of the wheel.

How in the ever buggering.. How the fool can reconcile that with his namby pamby double standards about women and what not I just can not understand..
