That was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Seems appropriate that they'd air it on FXX, a channel intended mostly for comedy. I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair.
Assuming that it WASN'T supposed to be hilarious, then they've done a truly appalling job with a wonderful series. I mean, a remarkably terrible job... and managing to offend all WoT fans by insulting Jordan's memory in the process! I especially liked the way they flashed up completely random chapter icons when they were listing the names of all the lunatics producers and such. Judging by those icons, one of the producers was Lanfear, which explains a lot about that pilot. Guess she's still mad about that rejection...
In general, while I'd love a TV or movie version of the series that would do it justice, I can't really imagine one that could do it justice. But, then, I said the same thing about the Lord of the Rings series, and I was proven wrong on that.
