What can be endured must be endured.
I think that's flipped around. Should be "what must be endured can be endured".

If you need to be considerably stronger than someone to be able to shield them while they are holding the Source, how does Nyn block Mogi in Tanchico? This always bugged me.
Didn't Nynaeve throw something at Moghedian's face and was able to shield her as she recoiled from that?

I probably varies, but I think I remember an Aes Sedai somewhere mentioned as being 5 years to the shawl, and hadn't achieved the look yet. Might have been with Nynaeve and Elayne and co. in Ebou Dar. So, say 5-10 years?

I always liked this line, from LTT
I would not mind you in my head, if you were not so clearly mad.I think that's my single favorite line of the whole series. It kind of reminds me of a line from Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage": "There's someone in my head, but it's not me."

I chose Brown, but honestly it was a hard choice. The stereotypes of the Ajahs are too narrow, and I like to think of myself as having a variety of influences.
Brown Ajah: 6
Gray Ajah: 4
White Ajah: 4
Red Ajah: 4
Blue Ajah: 3
Green Ajah: 2
Yellow Ajah: 2

"Path of Daggers" on who knows what number re-read.
"The Tao of Physics" - re-read, but it's just in my car for when I don't have another book with me and find myself with some time to kill.

Wait a minute. If the Dark One wants to destroy the pattern, and Ishamael is ok with this, and Ishy is in charge... then why doesn't Shai'Tan ask Ishy to go around Balefiring everything until the pattern unravels? I'm pretty sure doing that would destroy the seals on your prison, unless they can withstand reality unraveling.
Easy - that wouldn't provide for very entertaining reading.

That could have nothing to do with their mission, just general Aes Sedai opposition to the Black Tower. And since they really followed Elaida, they would know her stance on it.

I actually didn't like book 4 that much. It's a finely written book in and of itself, but I remember being excited when it came out, and all I got was a big long flashback. It provided some necessary backstory for Roland, but didn't do much to advance the main story, and then it was 6 damn years before book 5 came out.
