  1. Directed @ somewhere in the vacinity of Philosohpic Mind

There are several instances where it could be made to seem as if the pattern could be twisting around Tuon as well as Mat. He even makes a comment and asks her.

She responds with a characteristic disbelief in "fairytales."

The key point is that nobody with the ability to see ta'veren has looked at Tuon (that we know of.) Nicola is dead, and Siuan has never come close to the empress.

But if Tuon is also a ta'veren, then the strain in the pattern will dictate the circumstances. The pattern could also force Rand into a kneeling pattern because he must kneel to gain the support of the Seanchan. Added to that, the "crystal throne," which is ultimately what Rand will bow to (read the prophecies), is a ter'angreal designed to make the person approaching feel insignificant and respectful. In any case, I very much doubt that the meeting with Empress Fortuana will be anything like the meeting with the Amyrlin in ToM.

And just for the record about Nynaeve's ability to heal madness, she came out and bluntly said that she couldn't heal Rand. Not to be a stick in the mud, but it's obviously been ruled out. And it doesn't exactly look like he needs it anyway...

  2. Just one comment...

Rand sitting in the Crystal throne would be cool, but... I doubt it.

I originally thought, and won't be put out if it's true, that the chair Rand sat in was the Lion Throne. But come to think of it, while he sat in a throne in Caemlyn, he did not sit IN the chair. He sat in a different throne then the official Lion Throne. So it could definitely be taken either way. So it's all opinion. Like always. :)

  3. The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past...

Both of the opening quotations say fourthage. Coincidence? I think not.

  4. I mostly agree with Despothera...

There are just a couple of things I think that need to be included. First is that I don't know if Rand and Moridin switching bodies would actually put Rand in Lanfear's control. He'll be channeling the one power. Couldn't he attack Lanfear with the true source? And if Moridin has an "anti-thesis" of Callandor, then wouldn't Moridin be by himself anyway? I think it more likely that they will switch bodies, and then the shock will cause Moridin to lose control, making him a captive of Alivia and Nyneave. Rand will then continue with whatever it is he's doing, Alivia will take Moridin to a safe location, and Rand will be open to attack from 13 channelers using myrddraal. (You know it's going to happen. It's just been waiting to happen since we first learned about it in book 3.)Rand will fall to the shadow, causing the chaos. The memory of light will be him remembering how he used to feel, and he will ask Alivia to help him commit suicide.

And I totally agree with the idea of pulling Rand out of T'A'R. It makes the Birgitte story-line have a purpose. Finally. But I don't think it will be strictly Nyneave. This is T'A'R. Perrin and Egwene will probably be involved too.

You're all welcome to call me crazy. But it makes sense to me.
