I do not thinbk it is the Nym himself who is channeling. What immediately comes to mind is an offhand comment Alviarin makes (I think in knife of dreams, but perhaps CoT) remebering what Mesaana told her about call-boxes, that they did not always require channeling because of "the standing flows." I think it is more likely that the nym and the seed singers manipulate an infrastucture of tied or maintained flows that can be accessed by ter'angreal and contructs.
