I think the only difference is how much control one side has, when a AS bonds a AM as a warder they have trouble compulsing him because of the nature of saidin, whereas if thigns where reversed the AM has almost complete control because of the nature of saidar
It is always difficult to do things that don't exist.

It's not exactly like RJ tended to write many homely characters. I think almost any named non-Aes Sedai (and a fair lot OF Aes Sedai) would have tonuges lolling out of mouths in the real world.

Yeah me too...man that whole plotline really drives me up the wall everytime i read it.Berelain seems to be looking for power through the bed of someone powerfull. The power to keep Mayene safe from harm, at first (when they were at Tear) and maybe now the power to rule below Rand. She's been hard at work as regent in Cairhien so I don't think her motivations are "dark"-oriented.
As for Perrin/Faile: Perrin with his smell is just too good a man for Faile. (too good in the sense that he really understands emotions and feelings in a woman despite her huge efforts to hide them). And he acts accordingly, with the hope to make her happy.
Many women will probably disagree here, but Faile (Saldean in general?) seem to appreciate a husband who actually don't understand what's behind the mask they set. Harmony seems to be boring to them.
Me, three.
I think it's a case where Faile wants to be treated like an equal. She doesn't want Perrin to alter what he says or does based on what he thinks (true or not) about Faile. She wants him to be himself. If he's mad, be mad, don't try and hide it. If he knows that she's mad, STILL be honest with her, even though it might make her mad. That would show that he respects her and believes she is strong enough to handle it. Not a weakling that needs to be coddled and protected.

The nature of a collectible is that it's worth whatever you can get someone to pay for it.
Also, you should tell us which book.

Are we certain that rand in fact used the "true power" from the dark one to break the bonds or could it have been some kind of "light version" of the true power - i.E. the true light power that has its source from the creator instead of the DO?
The One Power (True Source) is the "light version" of the True Power.
The True Power is begotten from the Dark One. The True Source is begotten from the Creator.
I had been under the impression that what I said was fact (I know, first time ever someone did this on the boards). I went to the WOT Encyclopedia to check my facts, and sure enough, it's the "Driving force of Creation", but not explicitly stated as coming from the creator. I shall concede the point on a technicality. :P

This is an opinion, not a "fact." We don't know with 100% surety that the OP comes from the Creator. We do know that the OP was used by the Creator to create the Wheel of Time and the Universe (or, the Earth). I assume this statement is correct, but it can't be stated as fact, only as opinion.

Who has sent Shadowspawn after Rand at Algarin's manor in Tear?
No simple answer is available.
Here's what we do know:
1) The orders were given by one of the Chosen (because Shadowspawn can recognise Chosen and the SS obeyed orders).
2) It isn't Halima-Balthamiel-Aran'gar because we get his-her PoV while Moridin is talking about it.
3) Moridin asks the Chosen to try and figure out what the orders for the raid are.
That's it.
It could even have been Moridin - if he's dissembling knowledge of the incident.
I believe the popular theory is that it was Padan Fain.

Think about it like electrocuting yourself. Anyone can touch a bare power line.
Surviving and/or doing something with the megawatts coursing through your body is another story.

Actually, men can't sense a person's inherent strength like women do. They can only tell how much power is being held at the time, so all Dashiva would have to do is not draw as much as he's capable of.
