  1. Almost twenty years ago my roommate handed me The Dragon Reborn and said, 'you've got to read this!" I didn't know he knew how to read:). I am so grateful he did. The journey here was well worth it. As for my "OMG I just finished it", thinking how Rand rode off into the sunset(sort of), a horse thief, that made me LOL, his pipe, no matches but the will to light his pipe, and a 'see the world' attitude. It seemed like it was RJ's send off.

Mat telling Toun, "when you looked at me and saw I had a knife ready to throw, you looked back over your shoulder....."

One of my favorite chapters, "The walk was wrong...." Tom, just had me smiling as he thought out how history would be relived thru his words.

Another favorite, "I'm just a man....." I read that scene a dozen times before going on. Lan IS the best swordsman at that time!

Mat and Rand, in front of THEE HIGHEST:), "I can't believe you're even comparing achievements..."

Demandred, "This has to be Lews Therin....." I think Demandred was written perfectly. So powerful but I could see the TP driving him crazier and crazier. I did think Mat was going to kill him.

    Lanfear, oh, she was gooooooooood.

I really really loved reading this series. I hope, but understand why not, that there are some more writings about Mat mainly. I loved the entire ending, well it wasn't an ending but a beginning and I for one am very grateful to BS for finishing the story. I look forward to reading more people's post on here, especially if someone could tell who Mat really is???

  2. Just read a post on darkfriends being in Mat or Perrins army and someone posted about Semi making the comment to Moridin on how the information would've been useful earlier.  Now, we all know that Rand, Mat and Perrin are ta'veren and the forsaken should know, could Moridin's connection with Rand have something to do with his desire to finally give the order to kill Mat and Perrin to the other forsaken?  Also, one of the forsaken tell Moridin that ta'veren aren't that easy to find, but Moridin just gets mad and says just kill them, could the connection be strong enough that he knows where Mat and Perrin are or at least is seeing them like Rand?  Sorry if this was answered earlier.

  3. My answer to the Halima question would be Egwene doesn't want to.  Remember people saying Halima does alotta stuff.  Someone, I forget who, says that Halima brokes a man's arm and rather than investigate Egwene thinks, oh well he must've deserved it.  When Mogedien escapes someone says they think they saw Halima come out but rather than investigate the disappearance of a foresaken on a flimsy claim or not, Egwene just dismisses.  I'd say they should've at least asked; the stories may have held up or maybe they would've come apart.  That's the longwinded answer.

Short version; it may've had do with AS noninterference with each other.  Halima supposedly being Delana's servant and all.

Oh, thanks, I thought Halima was posing as Aes Sadai and the other Aes Sadai should've known she couldn't channel saidar.

  4. This has been what has been curious to me in the series.  The the AOL we heard "legends" of the Forsaken wiping out hundreds of thousands of people at a time.  Cities fell at their fury.  Was this simply legend?

Possibly. Though, by Lews Therin's memories most of the tragedies really did happen, so I just assumed that the Forsaken had access to stolen sa'angreal during the War of Power.

The Forsaken had armies of their own to destroy the cities.  Of course they could've Balefired some cities then realized the consequences and stopped but those stories became legend.

I have a question about the Forsaken and having any angreal.  If they were sealed away in the bore, wouldn't the items be sealed with them?

  5. This was in another thread but my question was off topic so I'll post it here.  I apologize if this has been brought up somewhere else.

Could Rand be the "strongest" male channeler ever(to the best of our knowledge)?

Quote from: TGS, Veins of Gold

He closed his eyes, drawing in more and more power, feeling as he had only twice before. Once when he had cleansed saidin. Once when he had created this mountain.

    "Then he drew in more."

He knew that much power would destroy him. He had stopped caring.

This "did not" kill him but was even more than LTT drew in the creation of Dragonmount(the other Dragonmount) which killed LTT.

Could it be possible that Rand just grew?  That his maximum amount of power he could hold was increased?
