New to the site, Not the the Wheel

Ta'Veren: One whom the Time Lace, The Pattern, weaves itself around. If one were to consider the entire world as a dream of The Creator, then all of the people in it might just be hazy images, knowing that someone somewhere in Carhien might be gilting a wooden throne, or that someone in Illien might be mucking stalls, or that someone in Tear might be fishing in the Dragon's Teeth... all of these things are known, but not detailed to the Dreamer. Ta'Veren might be considered to be... Personalities of The Creator. All things have many sides, depending on the situation, and all entities have many personalities.

 

To put it into perspective, have you ever been driving down the road, without a radio on, and started thinking about something, and while seeing the road and driving, you start to see a picture frame that starts off hazy and comes into focus in front of what you actually see, slowly taking over your vision, maybe of a war zone or a situation that you feel strongly about, and though you know you are still driving, you no longer pay attention as a part of your mind is taking care of that while you focus on "more important things" somewhat of a daydream. You put yourself completely into the part of whatever the "movie" you see, and can play it out, even talking out loud, to completion or until something shocks you back to reality.

These and many other things, dreams, feelings, emotions, that are within each and every person. When something like this happens, is is the mind's way of saying, "Hey! you COULD do this a different way!," but basically, it is your recessive personality trying to come to the forefront, and overshadow your dominant personality. You might say, "I am a timid person though." Well, that i am sorry to say, is your dominant personality, being the one that by societal, personal, and environmental influence, you have chosen as the best way to present yourself in order to pass through life in the most fluent way possible.

 

Now, about Ta'veren.

 

If the world and the pattern are a dream, and the One Power, Saidin and Saidar, being both sides of the good half of the Dreamer, and the True Power coming from the Darker side of the Dreamer, Shaitan, and the Avatars of each side, Lews Therin Telamon and Ishamael, and all of these things... all a dream of the Dreamer. Now, Think of those in your dreams that may not be you, but the main focus, the Ta'Veren of your dreams. The ones that the dreams focus on and twist around. Step back from them and realise that they are but puppets in a cardboard box of your Mind's Eye. So in essence, if the world is a dream, then the Ta'veren are those that the Dreamer is looking over their shoulders.
