Eb stalked angrily across the grounds, a scowl on her face.

 

She was frustrated. Light-cursed weapon! Reaching the corner of the training yard where she’d arranged to meet Ingtar, she unbuckled the belt around her waist and shoved her short-sword against the fence. Glad to be rid of the thing after the day’s training with Mehrin she stretched, shaking her head and trying to clear her mind.

 

A knife flashed angrily in her hands and then disappeared. Where is Ingtar?! The sergeant was due for some hand-to-hand training, and Eb was in the perfect mood for a fight…
