Revolutionary new Role Play site 'The Towers'

Since the death of Robert Jordan, I, and several other administrators from the Veiled Truth RP site and the former City of Light RP site, have been working on a revolutionary new kind of Role Play site called the Towers in order to help keep his world, which has influenced so many of us, vibrant and full of life.

 

It will feature all the normal aspects of Role Play with a twist and some new things that have never before been used on a WoT RP site. It will be true to the books, but verges off from them a bit after saidin is cleansed. It will be based around the Ajah's and the Shari's, our Black Tower version of the Ajahs, but will have the added element of the Shadow Shari and the Black Ajah. These

groups will all be almost separate entities which are bound to their Towers. The RP will focus on the lives and training of channelers, Gaidin, and members of the White Tower Guard and Legion of the Dragon stationed at the Black Tower.

 

We will also be incorporating a money system never before used on a WoT RP site. Members will earn gold for their posts and upper ranks will earn a salary from the Tower Vaults. There will be a shop in which you may buy weaves, sword techniques, battle tactics, weapons and armor, horses, ships, avatars and signatures, and even your own boards with which you can build a home or open your own business. The idea is to be able to customize your characters. Over 80 weaves and a like number of sword techniques will be available. Certain angreal and Ter'angreal will also be available through the Tower Vaults.

The site is now officially open, though its still a work in progress. We are currently seeking a Red Sitter and a Green Sitter for the White Tower. I will take a look through it. But friends have tried out board RP systems, and I have never been able to feel the full effect of RP in an environment provided by bulletin boards. Even more so with start up communities. I much prefer live online real time interaction with other RPers.

 

That said, I wish you the best and I will be taking a look to see how it appeals.

Well, I have tried those games. While a lot of people enjoy them, I find them to restricting and they don't really live up to my expectations. I play some GoS, though that too is not up to what I want out of a WoT game. I heard a rumor though, that they were making a WoT Oblivion Mod. That would be cool. Anyways, RPing gives you the opportunity to create your own world, it makes you the storyteller, you can take your characters in any direction you want. You get to BE a Novice, a Soldier, or a Warder trainee and work your way up through the ranks, possibly achieving a leadership position. You can open your own business instead of going through the game. You can learn how to play Daes Dae'mar or Bond with an Aes Sedai. You can study the Old Tongue or enter Tel'aran'Rhiod. The only limit is your imagination. Who knows, if you practice your writing skills enough, you could be the next Robert Jordan.
