This is from a simpler time, when Karana was Amyrlin and Arette was Keeper.  Set nine years before the current timeline, this occurs in the dining hall before any Aes Sedai that were present at this particular dinner.  If you want your Aes Sedai to witness whats about to happen next, all you need do is write but a paragraph placing yourself in the Dining Hall at the time. :)

 

And no, do not interfere, gag him with air, spank him or whatnot, what shall unfold will be beautiful :)
