I've been a WOT fan for a really long time.  joined DM back in 2012 .

just moved to GA and they hold a Jordan Con every year in April.  got my tickets, it will be my first time.

All here can tell jokes, and the person that tells the joke with the most upvotes - we would judge them but this fine Andoran red is going down far too easily and probably I will not be a good judge - will win the title of "Jester" so they can show off and be the envy of their friends.

The Chosen Elgee opened here eyes and surveyed the massive room being readied for the Ball she’d heard all about. But had of course not received an invitation to. Grinning, she opened a small Gateway to her own palace, brought forth a throne-like chair and lounged back in it. One did not need an invitation to one’s own Ball, did one?

“You!” she pointed one slim, red-tipped finger at the woman who seemed to be in charge of the decorations.

“Take down that awful rubbish and put up some PROPER decorations! And hop to it, woman, or I’ll have your scalp for a lampshade!”

The woman gave her one disbelieving look which quickly turned to sheer terror. And hopped to it.

This is the Flicker Feast dunk tank. Give it a go, and try to dunk the person currently sitting on the ledge.

To give it a go, either roll a 10-sided dice at home or use a digital tool to do so.

On a 1-5 you replace the person sitting on the ledge.

On a 6-10 you hit the target and dunk whoever's currently there.

No aiming for the gonads.

It is not set to a specific date, and comes later in northern lands than in the south. It's typically celebrated "when spring had well and truly arrived, the first lambs born and the first crop up."

The night preceding Bel Tine is known as Winternight.

This is not something I remember from the books (please do correct me if I’m wrong!), but in the adapted TV series, the following tradition is practiced:

It is a custom on Bel Tine to light a lantern for deceased loved ones. The purpose of the lantern is to guide their loved one's spirit back to them, and so that the Wheel of Time will weave their loved one's soul back into the world through rebirth. What is this particular thread about? Well, we have all had a very rough few years, have we not? Many of us have lost loved ones, to one thing or another.

In this thread, we would like to remember them. To light a lantern or candle to remember them, and if your beliefs are such, to help guide their spirits back to us.

If you would like to remember someone, please post their names here, and whatever you wish to share with us regarding them.

At the end of the week I will put each person’s name in a lantern, and “float it down the river”. My hope is that this act will ease your own soul and the grief you might harbour.

I will also host a separate thread where we can discuss what rituals we observe, personally or as part of your religious or belief-system, when someone passes. Please find the link to that thread in the Opening Post.

In honor (or dishonour, depending on how you feel 😂) of the change, I thought it would be fun for us to list some of our favourite or least favourite things about the change of season! This can be specific to the upcoming season or just things in general. 

What are your top five? Here are mine:

Favs
1. Spring means sunshine and warmth. Which also leads to swimming and scuba diving!

2. The smell of freshly cut grass, nothing is better than that.

3. For fall, the change of the colour of the leaves. It's just so beautiful

4. Spring also means summer, which is my favourite season 😂

5. Spring or fall are also excellent campfire weather ❤️ 

Here in the States, it's Spring, and mostly, we celebrate with dyed eggs and the Easter Bunny. 

Do you decorate eggs for Easter? Color them? Or hide the plastic ones filled with treats? Feel free to share some of your decorations. (Or you can always draw out a design you'd  like to try some day.)

Perhaps you don't decorate eggs, but are still a fan of the tasty treat. Do you have any particular way you like to prepare them? (You are welcome to share images or recipes.)

How appropriate that I had eggs and steak over biscuits with gravy for dinner tonight!
