Hello reader, I'm a new reader to the wheel of time series, so far I'm about a third into 'The dragon reborn', and loving every minute of each read, but one thing keeps bugging me!!! I purchased the books second hand and were published in the same year as release. Each book has the initials of the book title at the bottom of every 10 pages or so followed by a dash (-) and a number which increases with each entry. (See attached photo from chapter 20 of dragon reborn). I have try to figure out all possible meanings of this and search online, what could it possibly mean?!!! Somebody please enlighten me! Thanks, Luke P.S: if for whatever strange reason, it so some kind of spoiler for the later books, just reply with, 'you'll figure it out soon' since I'd like to avoid all spoilers where possible.
In book six when the tower Aes Sedai take Rand, they shield him and take him to the house they have been staying in. Rand talks about 6 soft points. At Dumai's Wells there is a point where some of the six points become hard (from knotting). I have heard this part many times (audio books) and even read it several times and it never dawned on me until today. How come their were six points and how come some got knotted. I reason away the six soft points with an explanation of the one power flowing in from 6 people, but then some of them get knotted (tied off) as women leave the circle. This part does not make sense to me. As it is always a circle of Aes Sedai that is mentioned to maintain a shield. Did I miss something?
Hello, I am just starting to read the books as I found my brother owned them all and I was out of reading material. I started with new spring as it had no book number so I thought this was the first book, im on page 194 and found out its the prequel (which I should have noticed earlier as some things I don't understand) should I keep reading the book or stop and read the first?
