Ok, you surely have already noticed that the old symbol of the Aes Sedai is pretty similar to the Yin and Yang symbol. That's not coincidence, in fact, Yin and yang can be equated to Saidar and Saidin, the female and male halves of the One Power. The duality that completes a whole comes from Daoism, but, actually, there are many influences from Chinese mythology and history within Wheel of Time. Here it is a breakdown, along with the review and summary of "The Fires of Heaven", the fifth book. Thanks!
I have seen several lists that rank channeler power levels and I wanted ask the opinions of the other members of this site. At her full potential, who is considered to be as strong as Nynaeve Al'Meara? Ishmael and Rand/Lews are stated to be the strongest, and Lanfear is stated to be second only to Ishmael. So what about the other Forsaken as well as the most powerful channelers of the current Age? Is Nynaeve just one level below Lanfear? What do you think?
Hello i'm re-reading the series after finishing it ~2 years ago and i'm halfway through the great hunt, problem is i'm sure i remember a scene in one of the books(i think the 1st) where the 3 Ta'veren are fishing from a river and are proud of their small catch only for Moirine to use the one power to pull several straight out of the water amazing the boys. problem is I've just finished the 1st book again and there's nowhere this could have happened as they are always on the run until they separate & I can't see the boys being amazed by this after the 1st book especially as Rand is channeling by the end of tEotW I know its not a big issue but its doing my head in, if anyone can help or remember the scene i'm thinking of that would be a great help (pic unrelated - Battle of the Tarendrelle)
