Hello dear friends ^_^ So, I have a newly raised Red that is in desparate need of some weapons training. Does anyone fancy a little scene together to help train her? I'm open to anyone that wants to play around. if it's any character outside the Tower proper, we can totally come up with a reason for her to be training with them. I don't mind writing a solo RP for the purpose, but it would be much more fun with another player ❤️

Grey adjusted his sword belt nervously. The clothes he wore were clean and functional, but they were not pristine. It wouldn’t have mattered if it was just going to be another day of training. Today was going to be different though. A few of the Aes Sedai were planning to investigate different things going on in the city. As Aes Sedai they were more than capable of handling themselves in almost every situation. In some cases muscle was needed though. He ran a hand through his blonde hair. It had the wavy, casual length of youth. He was not tied to any Aes Sedai himself. He was not even an “official” tower guard yet. He was still in the training phase of his career. That might change one day though. He was open to the possibility. They had asked for volunteers to accompany the Aes Sedai though and when he had volunteered his trainers thought he had become at least competent enough to not hurt himself. He had been proud. He had felt that he was progressing in his training, but this was validation that what he had perceived in himself, though still possibly skewed, was also not too far from reality. He did his best to push aside the nervousness he felt but it would not go away. He had thought that when joining up as a tower guard trainee that he would have more encounters with the Aes Sedai and he would have grown familiar with them and at least comfortable enough to know what to expect when around them. Aes Sedai kept largely to themselves though. Those he had encountered or passed had barely taken note of his existence. He had not taken offense. There was little reason for him to have warranted their attention. Today would be different though. He was going to be in their midst. “Calm yourself. You just have to follow orders. There is nothing to worry about.” He took a deep breath and let is out slowly. It was time to go and meet up with the others.

Right, according to sources, the WoT TV Series might finally be happening. That means only one thing: sh.t just got real in the "who I want as actor to play [x] character" debate! To that end, I will be starting a series of threads in which you can post your pictures of actors whom you think will be best able to portray the characters. There will be rules! 1) Post a picture of your choice, with their name. 2) Pick people who actually are actors (they don't need to be famous) or at a pinch models, who you think could act, and the right age right NOW. 3) Pick people who roughly resemble the description of the characters (I'll post what descriptions there are). Obviously you don't have to be pedantic, but it's got to be realistic. Aiel aren't generally short and dark. Seafolk are generally very dark skinned. Egwene is a teenager, so someone in their 30's or 40's isn't going to work. 4) No biting, kicking or scratching. Channeling and stabbing is allowed, though. This post will be copied and pasted to each new thread I make, cos I'm lazy. We will start with the order of appearance (roughly), so first up will be the people we get to know in The Eye of the World (Book 1). I will make threads for groups of people (ie the Wonder Boys, the Wonder Girls, Emond's Fielders, etc), or we'll have a million threads.

I had so much fun last week finding pictures of Moiraine and Lan, I thought I'd do another character themed entry. So here's some art depicting Egwene in the various stages of her development. This is a nice sketch I found on DeviantArt by *fee-absinthe. I'm assuming that this is meant to be from the beginning of the series, as this looks like the sort of outfit an innkeeper's daughter might wear. There's no hint yet of what's in store for her. This is a great water color by Helena Zeegers. Helena used to have a very large amount of fan art available online, but it went down with Geocities. I found this on a site that had archived some of her work. Anyone have working contact info for Helena so we can ask her to put her WoT stuff online somewhere? I like this piece because it shows Egwene pretty early in her story. We know she's headed to the Amyrlin Seat someday, but right now she couldn't be further. And Min is with her. You don't see much of Min and Egwene together in the later books, so it's nice to see this reminder of how deep their friendship goes. Another picture from DeviantART. This one is by Vulcan82. This one is the closest to how I picture Egwene when I read. It's the stubborn jaw, I think. I love the look of oil pastels that was achieved here. It looks like something that might actually exist in Egwene's world. Another of Egwene, the Amyrlin. This one is by Richard Boye. Richard was one of the first people to start posting Wheel of Time fan art online and for a long time was considered the gold standard for fan artists. I actually used this as an avatar here at one point, back before I knew you needed permission for that. And one last piece... This is by RoseMuse. It needs no commentary. Are there any depictions of Egwene that I missed? Post em in the comments for everyone to enjoy.
