Robert Jordan only wrote the forward to this game because he was contractually obligated to under the licensing agreement.   He hated the game and tried his best to pull out of the agreement but couldn't.  He outright refused to promote the game and refused to even talk to WOTC about new projects after it was released.

My name hope is that they rewrite the battle with Taim so that Logain plays a part.  It felt anti-climatic to me that Logain and the Asha'man played no role in Taim's downfall after they were literally the only ones fighting against for for at least 3 books.  Everyone else, especially Rand was too busy to think about what was going on at the Black Tower and it ended up creating an army of powerful Dreadlords, and then they just drop the Logain/Taim battle in favor of having Egwene suddenly realize out of nowhere how to reverse balefire, which is another stupid idea.  And it robbed Logain of an epic battle which I know many readers had been looking forward to.

I am guessing Loial will be like Gollum and King Kong from the newer Kong movies, someone in a motion capture suit playing the character.  

There is a major difference in casting a guy who isn't the right height, and casting someone who looks completely different than a character in the source material.  Jackman's height was really the only issue, and that could have been fixed with camera angles.

Seems they may be planning on making Elayne and Aviendha bisexual, and in love with each other, not just Rand.  They want to do something to appeal to the LGBTQ crowd, and since same sex relationships make up a good amount of the backstory in much of the series, they figure turning the love triangle into a polyamorous relationship could be a good move, instead of having it as a polygamist relationship where three women marry the same man, and share him.   

They will be looking for lesser know, and thus more affordable actors for the main, recurring roles.  Big name actors to ancor the cast will likely be reserved for roles which do not appear much in the series.....Tam, Elyas, Morgase.....

I could see them splurging to get someone like Nicole Kidman as Morgase.
