    Dearest @Millon ~

It's so good to see a familiar face around! It's the kind of thing that makes home, worth coming home for. I hope you have time to keep popping in and joining in the fun!

    Love, Del~

🥰 Awww. I don't think some of us ever truly leave do we? lol *hugs tight*

I think it's something in the Moat water. Compels people to come back.

Rhea, I'm sorry for your loss. My big brother, only brother,  and I aren't as close as I'd like to be but I know his loss would ruin me. Prayin for you and yours.

There is a strange therapy in sadness.

Absolutely this. It is a part of life. You need to be able to face, process and deal with your sadness. Trying to avoid it or act as though it isn’t there is worse than the sadness itself. It festers like the DO’s touch. A, sort of recent, interview of the actor Andrew Garfield with Stephen Colbert, at least in where sadness is in grief, Garfield talks about the passing of his mother and how he hopes to never lose the grief because it’s [paraphrasing] “all the unexpressed love that he had for her. It’s not an emptiness or a loss just unexpressed love.” It really had an effect on me and how I view sadness. Or, at least, a different lense to view what current sadness I’m experiencing. Maybe the sadness I feel in a given moment is just another unexpressed emotion that I haven’t processed. It’s helped so much.

*leans on her cart, with a sword to her belt* Bloody straight, Mother of Fools! Best bloody pies this side of dragonmount.

But.. first! Silver. Cough it up. *holds out her hand, unyielding with a spark of mischief in her eyes*

What are we talkin about in.........favors? hmmm? *tries to lean casually against the pie cart.....misses entirely and rolls ass over teakettle landing with a boyish grin at Arie's feet* A man does love pie and may be persuaded to things beyond what most may consider. Whataya say? Forrrr......you got any key lime pie???

  5. oh man. If we're goin with favorite characters I have to go with my boy, Bayle. I like Robin Hood type characters. Laws are made to be broken so long as you help people. Plus, one of my favorite things about him is the depth of character shown when he talks about the reasons for why he captains a ship. It's for all the strange and wonderful things he gets to see and his collection of curiosities. Then there's Egeanin who was willin to throw ALL to the wind for love. She also kicks ass, so, that's awesome. oh, and Leane. Would definitely bond her. For all the reasons you're thinkin.

I'm learning so many things about others!

When I first joined, I remember my mother saying she used to be a part of DM. However, I have yet to see proof of this and so I'm not entirely sure I believe her.

I only have ever know our lovely Elgee as Mother, to the point I have referred to her as such on Facebook 😆

I also remember being persuaded to attempt bonding my Warder before we were allowed to. And then being the only one who got in trouble for it ☺️

I too remember that and it pains me to this day. lol I'm sorry!

Hey you! Long time no see. Sorry to hear you've been down. But it's ok. Boopsy's here! *prances around scattering dusty pink feathers*

*ignores all the sneezing and evil looks*

You are STILL just an absolute delight of chaotic energy and there isn't a one to compare on bringing levity and smiles to you, Sir Boopsie. The pleasure is still 100% mine. hahahaha

I've been dealin with the sad! Pretty well I think. At least, I'm taking honest steps and getting the help I think I need so..... it's just time. I am confident I will have good progress this year.

  8. I was just havin this conversation with ....one of my bondeds. lol Kathline Sedai. Her and Leelou I still keep in contact with regularly. Christmas cards. Inappropriateness. Anxieties and joys. I am definitely blessed. Every once in a while Marta and/or Amadine and I will say what's up on the socials. I miss my sword brother though and worry for him. Karasayl. Last I interacted with him was right before he was deployed like a decade ago. Maybe more. I don't know if somethin happened to him or even how to find out.  I have made so many friends and amazing memories in this space. It is a cornerstone of who I am. It saddens me that I have been so long away from here.

I am sad all the time. I'm still recovering from a lot and the sad is like the DO himself inside of me. Fathomless. My boy keeps me goin though. Just last night, in a real low spot, I had the thought as I settled into my bed. Thank the light my boy is going to need me for all of his days. Cause I need him more.

    Yes that's a beautiful one!

YES! Even though, as an Aes Sedai, I shouldn't like the second one. In my defense, I WAS also an Asha'Man / Chosen over at the Black Tower at one stage ?

Ayup. One of those profound moments that stay with you. I've just reread that section and skipped over that specific bit because it's just too dark for me. Same with the final Ronin scene. That one broke my heart, unlike the fate of the Amayar.

That is one point of the series I have a big issue with. It completely breaks the Checkov's Gun rule. There was absolutely no reason to include any of that. You get no further info on why or how is significant. Hell, it barely got an off hand metion even by the characters. "oh, and this terrible thing happened here. . . ", response "wow. that's terrible. Lets carry on" ANd that's it. So, an important artifact is there that reacts to an incredible event but that artifact could have been ANYWHERE with at least some relevance. I kept hoping for more of that story and never got it. Hell, I don't even think the encyclopedia goes into any of that.  Didn't need to happen. Same with the place the leader of the darkies in the final combat and his completely broken character story. It just doesn't make sense. AT all.

    I am not familiar with Ronin. . . .

  10. "Any fool knows men and women think differently at times, but the biggest difference is this. Men forget, but never forgive.  Women forgive, but never forget."

    The Dragon Reborn, Ch. 47

@JamesBrown I say this all the time and am continuosly proven the validity of this statement.

    From The Shadow Rising, Perrin

“Never think I have abandoned you. When the sun shines on you, it is my smile. When you hear the breeze stir through the apple blossoms, it is my whisper that I love you. My love is yours forever.”  I have shared this quote with someone and I'll never have it back. So, it's a bit melancholy for me but I love it.

ooooo, big favorite. "Asha'Man. . . kill" gives me goose bumps every time. Then the follow up "Kneel and swear allegience to the lord Dragon or you. will. be. knelt." DAMN that was bad ass. That's in the Lord of Chaos.

I don't remember quotes so much as scenes though. Don't have that type of memory lol. When Perrin goes all super dark and says to the AS "Heal him" about the Aiel? Yeah? Trying to not be spoilery but holy shit did that get dark.

oh" All will be well and all will be well and all manner of things will be well." the tinker quote. cant remember where but I love that one.

  11. starting next week I'll be working Thur and Fri 12 - 4 PM. Not sure how I feel about it lol. I really don't like the people I work with. They're just unreasonable and I get the short dirty end more foten than not. It's been a disappointingly eye opening experience working in Civil Service in Buffalo. Everything is such a boy's club and cliquey. Real bad. I'm not doin that. I'm not going to metaphorically phelate someone just to further my position like everyone else does., so things seem to roll down hill to me. Yeah, I've kind of checked out a bit. They definitely don't get my best effort any more. It's nt worth the stress.Whatever. I'm getting benefits and a pension. Best thing right now unless I win the lotto lol. Sorry for the rant. Just had a lot of time to think and stew. lol

  12. Regardless of mine or anyone else's "informed opinion" I am still going to listen to the people that have dedicated their lives to protecting us from exactly what happens. If the CDC and WHO say, stay the eff home, these measures will work to curb this before things get worse, then I am going to do that. If I have cancer and my oncologist says "we'e going to do this thing to save your life" I am going to do that thing. Why? Because he's an expert. Oh, weell, second opinions are good things to have, so I am going to ask another Dr, he says, yes, these things will save you. I am going to do that thing. Two specialists, CDC, WHO, both saying the same thing. This has nothing at all to do with taking anyone's rights away. This is about a PANDEMIC. No one is prepared for this. AT all. That's what everyone is facing right now. Everything bad about the way we have been managing is finally coming to light. Inflammatory statements like "totalitarianism" is what spreads panic. Blowing things out of proportion and sharing inflammatory things out of fear and, we are all ignorant here, unless you're an immunologist, infectious disease specialist, or other related field,  you don't know what you're talking about. Instead of railing against the walls find ways to support UNTIL the CDC and WHO says we're good. When they say we're good and our gov'ts are still saying no, stay home THAT is totalitarian rule and goes against any common form of gov't in a free world.
