  1. Greetings members both old and new!

As you may now, for many years we have had RP at Dragonmount, pretty much since its inception back in the 1990s. Between that long time frame and the 15 books of The Wheel of Time that have been released over the years, you can imagine that almost everything in the books has already happened in our Legacy roleplay, though with our own twist on it.

Of course, now with the show coming out and attracting new fans (and bringing back old ones!) it only seemed appropriate to begin a completely new Role-play world and club--one that turns back the Wheel to a beginning; that is, Bel Tine in the year 998 NE. This new RP will be based on the show and, in general, will follow along the timeline there, albeit on a slower pace as RPs do.

Therefore, if you are here to experience the world of The Wheel of Time from a new beginning, please do head over to our new RP Club, The Wheel of Time - Roleplay (A New Beginning).

(Please consider this an announcement post as we get set up, which will take a few days! (Right now the Club is pretty empty) Thank you and hope to see you there!)

  2. Oooh I remember you, Caladesh ? Not least because I went through just about every WT roleplay thread available and read when Caladesh died ?

Welcome back!! Great to have you! It's a good time to return with the show about to come out and all. RP forums are definitely around and active; @Taymistis the RP Group Head Honcho XD

  3. Jagen was present standing between the other two Sitters, all in their formal, long-fringed shawls. All wore varying shades of red; she was in her deep colored Taraboner gown. Tatiana, to her left, seemed dwarfed more than her usual short stature standing next to the taller woman, though both of them came from Tarabon. Viviana, the oldest of all of them, was on her right. They stayed still while Jagen stepped forward, near the young sister who held the newly sewn shawl, the fringe bright red and long.

Ceremoniously, Jagen reached for Viviane's left hand and held it up. Holding the new sister's gaze, she took off her Great Serpent ring and kissed it. Then the Sitter took up Viviane's right hand and replaced the ring there.

This finished, the young Red placed the shawl on her new sister's shoulders. "Welcome to your new home, Aes Sedai," she intoned.

Still holding her hand, Jagen and the other Sitters intoned, "The Red Ajah welcomes you, Sister."

She let go of Viviane's hand, letting it fall. "You are now an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah," she went on, formally. "You have taken upon yourself the mantel of a Guardian of Humanity. Wear your shawl with pride, for it shows not only your station, but the important mission you have accepted. The White Tower moves the world, a world which needs protection from channeling men. This is the duty held by the Red Ajah. Welcome, Sister."

Those were the formal words, and Jagen would not change them, but she realized the new sister may perceive some irony in a situation that was unique to Jagen; out of all of them present, only she held an Asha'man bond, and even the newest novice probably knew.

Now, it was up to the Sister who laid the shawl on her shoulders to instruct Viviane in the first things she would need to know. Only they would walk together; the Sitters gathered themselves to go to the Reds' Quarters ahead of them.

Jagen lead them up in silence, though it was not required. Tatiana and Viviana expressed their pleasure at having a new sister, and talked about Viviane's qualities. What was required was that the halls of the White Towr be empty, even of servants, until the new sister was home. When they opened the doors to the red-and-white tiled floors, Tatiana wove the weave to enhance her voice, "Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, a new Sister approaches! Prepare to welcome your new Red Sister!"

It only took a few minutes for the women to line up in the hall in front of their doors, standing formally. Each would tell Viviane welcome.

As the Highest, she took up the middle position again between the two Sitters. Tatiana suddenly breathed, "Oh."

    "What is it?" Jagen asked.

"Well... I was just thinking of the Asha'man, Highest. Would they welcome a new Sister, too?"

"It seems a bit late to discuss that, yes?" she said with some exasperation.

"And tradition dictates it be only sisters," Viviana added, but she seemed to snap her mouth shut at the end. Traditions were needing to be changed recently.

Jagen supposed she would have to think of a proposal later, if at all, but it looked like a no from her. After all, she was sure even Greens did not include their Warders in such ceremonies, but who knew? Besides, she would need to see Viviane again after midday, so she was busy already. It would give their new sister time to change, eat and perhaps catch a bit of sleep; the Reds did not like a new sister to be falling over and out of focus on her first day.

They all then waited in silence; Viviane and her escort would be here soon.

  4. Jagen did not immediately move, studying him. Through the bond there was not much emotion to feel, for the moment she was calculating. "I suggest you pack your... coat. Yes, your uniform." She was just going to have to get used to working with him. With reminding herself he was an Asha'man; not a rogue, but trained in the ways if battle. Deadly. For a moment she mused that it wouldn't be much longer before Greens held most of their bonds.

"We will have to reveal our presence, our stations, once we figure out what is going on. Presuming none of these villagers have seen an Aes Sedai. And, for the public to see the White and Black Towers working together, it would be well, yes? You never know when you might need it. Then, yes, we may go join the others."

  5. "Tsk. That simply won't do," Kiyi muttered. Astradore drew her attention from the buildings and to the other Sister as she rapped on the ceiling. The litter came to a halt. "We appear to have an imminent delay up ahead, Sisters. No need to disturb yourselves. A minor matter. I'll deal with it, and direct the men to bring the litter on behind."

"Oh? Yes, of course," she replied. The White had been daydreaming about the beautiful architecture. Every time she did venture out of the Tower, the Tairen always told herself she would spend more time out in the city, but it never came to be. She was sure her free time was ample, yet most of that was reading books, for both pleasure and research, and doing mathematics.

By the time the litter stopped and Astradore got out,  she caught the tail end of whatever Kiyi had been saying, talking about the Amyrlin Seat and a conversation about how brave the people of Tar Valon should be. Ah, so that's what Kiyi was doing. The White watched the crowd disperse, and in that dispersion she saw a rat running under a stall. She was not disgusted with the animal at all, but was indeed disturbed by what their presence meant. Shen glided over to join Kiyi as she requested some tea to be sent to the Tower.

"That was very good, Kiyi," she said with a hint of satisfaction in her voice. She kept glancing around, however, not looking at her sister. The crowd had thinned, and that was fine, for she was sure the shopkeepers would be much more useful.

"Mistress Danein, was it?" she asked the woman selling tea, her eyes finally settling on the woman. There was no point in avoiding the topic, and people gave plenty of space to the two Aes Sedai. "Tell me, and do be quite honest, have you seen ghosts in Tar Valon?" She did not think of being more discreet, for what was the point? Indeed, she needed to get right to the point. "Or do you know anyone who has claimed this?"

  6. Things are going to get ugly if Jagen ever realizes she'd be Compelled to obey Aslan with whatever order he wanted. Ouch. XD (I'm assuming the AM/"wife" bond works the same way on a female channeler as on any woman).

But it could definitely make for some interesting RPs. XD

ON the AM-AM bond: Would you have to obey each other? Oh my... LOL.

  7. Jagen walked in and stopped after only two steps. She looked around and blinked. What in the Light?! The smell of... Earth? ... hit her as she walked into his given apartments. Her blue eyes took in the skins and herbs that were definitely not there before. Well, they had given him a fairly plain room. She was sure that carpet hadn't been there before, either. And it smelled. Her nose wrinkled.

"Well, I see you have been busy." She stuffed down the rising negative feelings at the thought of him using saidin to hop between the Black and White Towers. She did not like that at all. Some rules would have to be set in place. A concern she would definitely bring up the Hall next time they all met.

Goodness, but he smelled like he just came back from hunting. The room did, anyway. "Aslan, you might appreciate the news I bring back, yes? The Amyrlin Seat, she has chosen a few select sisters and guards to attend to a mission. And the Amyrlin asked for you to accompany us. Me, I was going to bring you anyway, but I'm sure you would have agreed nonetheless. How does a trip to Saldaea sound, to investigate what might be a Power-related trouble in a small town?"

  8. The Crazy Manipulations one? I just know a few people expressed interest, and at least one was going to play an AS, but I think they disappeared again. I thought we should have some more sisters, but if worse comes to worst I guess I'll play Jagen and my White, Astradore.

Oh, I did just reply for Aslan though XD
