  1. Honestly I don't think Sarah is being listened to at all. She is just there for them to say they have a book fan to help with continuity but I don't think they really consult her or actually act on anything she says.
  2. All they really had to do is have Lan shoving a book into his saddlebag with the title clearly visible saying something like 'Lost weaves from the past age' or something. It could have even been in a much earlier episode and would not have taken up much time.
  3. I think Faile's age is just something that fans ignore and look over. She is definitely meant to be that much younger, the fact that she is too young to marry is something that is brought up by her Father when he meets Perrin and Faile in Caemlyn.
  4. This never actually happened. It was the lie that Siuan, Leane and Logain came up with to try and get the rebel Aes Sedai to act against the tower. It worked because the other Aes Sedai never considered that Siuan and Leane could lie even though they had been stilled.
  5. I understand that, but I am just saying having more extras would make the show much better.
  6. Dwindling does not mean only 6 Aes Sedai in the tower. In the books there are around 1200 Aes Sedai at the beginning of the Series and over 3/4 are usually in the tower at any one time. There has been a decline as there used to be many many more. There multiple reds and greens last season in the Aes Sedai camp and yet Liandrin and Alanna seem to be the only two in the tower now. I'm not talking about main characters but just having extras wandering the hallways in the Egwere, Elayne and Nynaeve scenes would help a lot.
  7. I enjoyed it much more than I did with season 1. It seems to be much of an improvement. I did still have a few minor issues however. I found that there did not seem to be enough Aes Sedai walking around the tower scenes. Other than the main 5 or 6 sisters we don't see anyone else, they should have have multiple extras walking around in colourful Aes Sedai dresses. At this point in the series before the major event happens the tower should be quite busy and lived in. Loial looked worse than in season 1 and his personality etc seemed to have digressed. While I didn't agree with his look in season 1 they had his personality down pat but he no longer seems to be the long winded slow talking character any more. They also did a poor job making him look tall, In season 1 they managed to make him look larger using camera angles but in Season 2 they have scenes where he is standing next to Perrin and Perrin is taller. I also found the time skip to be a bit too much. We don't see how Loial recovers from his stab wound - its like it never happened. We don't see how Rand and Selene meet or how Perrin ended up being recruited into the hunt for the horn. Hopefully they have a flashback in future episodes which links the seasons together but I'm not hopeful.
  8. While I agree a lot of the travelling will need to be cut, it does have the unfortunate side effect of making the world seem much smaller than it is. You then run into the issues that the final seasons of GOT had where characters somehow impossibly travel from one side of the world to the other in a matter of hours.
  9. My concern with the rings is that due to the large coloured gems on the rings it makes it much less of a mystery who Black Ajah are in scenes like this. There will only be a small number of Aes Sedai of each ajah who are not glorified extras making it pretty obvious who they are.
  10. Honestly there is not a huge amount to reduce. Its more that Perrin and Faile only got a few chapters each book which made it drag on over multiple books and then the plotline had to be reintroduced each book and the recapping made it overly repetitive. If the timeline was reduced (For example all the Perrin and Faile stuff happened in a single season with a portion of each episode dedicated to it) it wouldn't feel so bad.
  11. I don't think its the Shaido arc itself that is the issue. Its the fact it went on for so long. If it resolved in less time it wouldn't be a problem.
  12. I agree. I didn't have a problem with tattoos themselves but it seems a lot of work and time for something that really doesn't matter. This was my main issue with Season 1 in general and unfortunately I'm not hopeful it will be much different in season 2.
  13. This is not going to be popular opinion but I feel that they downplayed the differences between the male and female source and powers was because they thought having a rigid gender divide would not be seen positively from a certain side of the LGBT community. Unfortunately the differences between Male and Female channelling are a major part of the series and the reason behind most of the plot. The fact that the male half is tainted is the background of the worldbuilding for the entire world in the series. By downplaying this they make things less clear, more confusing and ruin the motivations of most of the characters.
