Publishing typically is very slow. Most manuscripts take 12-18 months to reach bookstores. The breakneck pace of WoT novels coming out with a few months of completion was extremely unusual. 2015 is the correct date.
-
They are still working on it. They promised us an update when the manuscript is turned in.

Voting ends on Thursday, so there is still time to participate.

This video is like, my entire life.

Go read some of the comments on Tor.com. There is definitely a bit of a backlash there and in this Guardian article. http://www.theguardian.com/books/2014/apr/19/robert-jordan-the-wheel-of-time-hugo-awards-shortlist

Please. Please let me sign one. Please. Please. Please. I'll frame it and hang it on my wall. I will kill in your name if you let me do this. Seriously. Name a person and they are dead. Please.

At JordanCon, it only counts with MY signature on it.
-
Peregrine's art was also featured in the JordanCon program book last year.
-
I haven't heard anything. I hope it does.

No, that's a silly idea. Nominate anything you think was Hugo worthy. Be a Hugo voter, not a WoT fan boy.
-
You can add Brandon's name, but if you don't the Hugo administrators will figure it out. As long as you get the title correct, they can figure the rest out. They are smart people who have usually done thus before.
-
Yes, you have to pay a membership due to be eligible to participate.

I don't think you can judge AMOL on it's own merits. It's like watching the last ten minutes of The Departed and saying "This is the best movie of the year!" It doesn't stand alone, but builds on everything that came before in the story. That's why I'm nominating the entire series, along with some of the other new novels I read this year.
-
They've been around for about a year. Most people prefer to make their own though.

Ta'Veren Tees does not have the license to produce WoT costumes, only t-shirts and novelty items. Museum Replicas is the only company licensed to sell WoT costumes. https://www.museumreplicas.com/g-9-the-wheel-of-time.aspx

Sizes S-3X are white strings, the largest ones have black.
The Wheel of Time hoodie is a unisex zip hoodie on black with contrast drawstrings. S-3XL are printed on a 6.5 oz, pre-laundered 80% cotton 20% polyester fleece hooded sweatshirt made from premium, super soft, lightweight fleece offering a slim fit and quality construction.
4XL & 5XL are printed on an 8 oz, heavy-blend, preshrunk 50% cotton, 50% polyester zip hooded sweatshirt. The drawstrings on these hoodies are black. -
The Baltimore group from the last signing didn't get any of their perks, like dinner with Brandon, etc. So Tor gave us permission to use them all again, if they were available, as their way of apologizing. We also added some new folks so that the new applicants would get a chance too. Jason and I debated how to handle this pretty extensively.
I sent out emails to everyone who was accepted on the 24th. About a half dozen bounced. If you think you might be one of those people who bounced, please email Jennifer@dragonmount.com with your name and the city you applied to and I'll check.

If you hit enter too soon, just submit a second application. Other than making sure the form is working, I won't be reading any of these until the weekend.

And now you see why I let her take over Fan Art Friday. I can fake knowing about art. She's the real deal.
-
I would pay real money for an action figure of Mat riding a dinosaur.
-
I freely admit that I have the cinematic tastes of a ten year old boy. I am not ashamed.
-
Team Jordan has so far refused to answer any questions about who wrote what.
-
Honestly, I love this one. It's obviously a draft, but it has many of the things I liked about DKS's work: The bold colors and brush strokes. I'm so glad we have the opportunity to see it.
