  1. He seemed really uncomfortable, and she watched him with half shut eyes. Light, he had those eyes... everytime he looked at her during practice, her heart skipped a beat... and then Natan or Ryen would get her attention, and as Natan was on her Team, and Ryen was the other Lieutenant, she had to glance away. She hadnt seen him in a few days... it was nice to see him again... but in his room, of all places!

"Uh, I've been good, I guess. Spend my days training and my nights recovering, but I'm sure you know what that's like. I can't wait to finish my training and get on with life. I feel trapped here, always having to do what others tell me." She knew the feeling. Light, to be a Tower Guard. Everything would be better- everything would be different.

He was quiet for a moment, and she waited for him to speak again. "What about you? I haven't seen you around much lately, what have you been up to?" She sat up and laughed, moving to the foot of her bed so that she was only a few feet away from him.

"Ive been around. Just trying to keep out of trouble, I guess. Do you remember when Ginae's hair went blue?" Of course he did, no one had forgotten yet... her hair was barely growing back in, now that she had shaved it all off. "I did that. Along with the Tower Guard that got in trouble! Can you believe it... omg, it was so funny!"

She fell back onto her bed, laughing, imagining the scene where Aran got kicked first by the MoT, then by her. That was a day to remember. He laughed a little, but was still quiet. He was one of the few that hadnt landed in her bed. Aran hadnt, but he was a Tower Guard... everyother guy... the men on her team, on other teams, men in town... but not Shawn. She had always wondered why it hadnt happened between them.

She layed there a few moments, her fingers twirling a strand of hair, and she thought. Perhaps it would happen with them that night. He had a good strong body, and was handsome... she had thought about him on occasion, but she figured that was because he was her captain. What would she do when they were seperated by a raising? Would they stay friends? She was determined for that to happen.

Getting up and off her bed, she walked over to him and grabbed his hand and pulled him off the bed. He looked a little startled, and she went over to the weapons rack. Taking his sword off the rack, she tossed it to him, then took her scimitar, and put it back where it belonged. "Come on, lets go to town and see what trouble we can get into!"

  2. A new roomie… great! Just what she needed! Almost done with her trainee, and having many teachers, she was more than ready to be a Tower Guard. She would be raised in only a month or two, and yet she still had to move. Everyone else had been raised, or thrown on a farm, or away for a few months, so she was left alone… go figure it was her room they decided to use for storage. And so, instead of keeping her room and privacy to herself, Deneira was being into a new room with three people, and losing all of her privacy.

She gathered up her few clothes into a bag, and her father’s books went into another bag. She still had her scimitar on her hip, and she kept her knives in their sheaths in her bag with the books. There was nothing else to carry. Going up to the new door, she lightly knocked, and waited until the door was answered. She was shifting her bag on her shoulder, and looked up as the door was opened.

It was him… her Captain… Shawn. She had met him once with a new trainee, and they had talked or commanded together a few times, but they had never really talked. She didn’t even know if he remembered her name. She smiled at him, and he stood there in shock. What was wrong with him? "Ya...You're...cough, cough...excuse me, you're my new roomie?"

She smiled at him and laughed softly. “I am indeed… anything wrong with that?†He just shook his head, and she walked past him, into the new room. She remembered those blue eyes… how could she forget. A girl could get lost in them. He was a little taller than her, and had a strong body. He was handsome too, yet she always wanted to shave off that goatee when she saw him. And let his hair grow out some. It was a pretty blonde, and still he shaved it all off.

She looked around, and saw her bed. It was the only area of the room that was not covered in clutter and mess. She smiled at him, pointing at it, asking, “This is my bed?†He nodded in reply, and she tossed her things onto it. He sat on the bed beside it, a little in shock, and she assumed it was his bed. Lovely…

Going to the wall, she undid her belt and hung it up, her scimitar hanging on it. She went back to her bags, and opened the one with her father’s books. She flipped the knives into her belt/pants, and then sat on the floor, putting the books under her bed, stacking them neatly. While she couldn’t read, it was the only thing left to her, and she treasured those books.

Finishing up, she jumped up, and neatly took out her clothes, which consisted of one cloak, nightwear, and two pairs of breeches and shirts. Then of course her small clothes. She set them all against the wall near the foot of her bed, and covered them with her bags. There really was nothing else she had. Flopping down on her bed, she smiled at him as he watched her. “So, Shawn, how have you been? Light, we haven’t talked in ages.â€

    Deneira l'Spada

  3. What a laugh this would be… they were going to be getting Aran back. Deneira was glad for her new friend… who would have thought, out of all the guards she could get night watch with, it would be Lyv, the old mistress of trainees, and one of Aran’s many victims. Of course, Deneira had helped to prank a few with Aran while a trainee, but now as a tower guard, she had chosen to watch herself around him.

Now, they were carrying three buckets up into the rafters, where Blue Paint would be awaiting their favorite prankster. Aran really was a good friend, but he needed to receive a taste of his own medicine. Deneira smiled at Lyv and laughed, nodding. “Of course I already thought of something… and he should come to it like a lost puppy!â€

Winking, she let her friend get ready in the rafters. “Ok, Im gonna go get him, then you be ready to pour it on him as soon as he is under you. Wait until I move, though, because I don’t wanna get hit too!â€

Deneira ran out into the yard, and hunted down Aran, seeing him passed out under his usual tree, running up to him, she shook him awake and pulled him up. “Aran, come quick!†He rubbed his eyes and stood. She laughed and pulled him after her. “You have to come quick, there are two trainees in the barn, asleep, and I thought might like to help me prank them! I have the stuff, I just need help. Please, lets hurry before they wake up!†She hoped he bought it.

  4. Deneira was embaressed of her mistake, but covered it easily. She just had a presence that would let her hide what she didnt want seen... and she didnt want them to see her blushing face. "Corin? Oh, I have heard of him from Aran, my friend. He is a tower guard. I cant wait to be one, im sick of being a trainee!" She smiled at Shawn for a moment, then turned back to Sana.

"So, you say that you are new to the yards... know anyone here? And who is your mentor? I swear, your last name sounds really familiar." She smiled at them both, knowing that she had grabbed their attention faster than a trolloc on the Tinkers.

  5. “You’re not bad with that blade.†Deneira’s face blushed dark. She didn’t expect a comment like that from a GrandMaster. At the same time, what exactly could you expect of them? They were a different type of warder- a different type of fighter. They were the elite, the perfect… the head honchos. And here was one, talking to her, the youngest Tower Guard.

“Thank you, sir.†She just looked away, and she knew that her moment to shine was already over. His words quickly ended it, faster than she expected.

“But you could use some work… just something new.†So that’s why he was over here… he wanted to teach her. Well, she most certainly couldn’t turn it down, even if she wanted to. He picked up a short broad sword, and tossed it to her. Then he took another one, and she looked at the weapon. It was heavier than her blade, and it was straight, with a double edge. Hers was made for being quick, with only one side sharp, yet this one relied on strength. It was different, and yet somehow the same. “Perhaps this would change things up a bit for you.â€

She took her sword and placed it on the ground, against the building. He walked to the center of the training ground, then stopped. She stood close by, watching, with her new weapon in hand, as he begun their short lesson. “The main difference you need to worry about is the distance. It’s now much different, so you’ll have to deal with closer maneuvers.â€

He taught her different moves, and she quickly forgot the fact that he was a Grand Master. After a few minutes, he was just another friend, like Lyv or Aran, who were teaching her different moves they had already learned. This man was no different in her eyes. And she didn’t treat him any different either. He would move her into a form or a position, and his hands would go over hers, or he would move her hips with his hands. She smiled at him whenever he looked at her in surprise, and his touches lingered on her.

The lesson came to an end, and it was about mid morning. They were putting away the swords, and she picked up her scimitar, and as she was going to thank him, he spoke up “Do you have any plans for later?†She looked at him in shock for a moment. Was he asking her out on a date or something?

Deneira looked away for a moment, then looked back. She felt like a mess, sweaty and dirty, and she definitely looked like one. Taking a glance around the yard, she looked back at him and put on a smile. â€Not yet, no. Why, is there something I should have planned for later today?â€

He smiled, and looked her straight in the eyes. After a few moments, he spoke. "No, it's good to take some time off. Maybe you'd like to accompany me into the city sometime this evening?" Accompany him into the city? well, of course she would. How could she turn him down.

Laughing softly, Deneira blushed a color. She smiled back at him, and nodded her head. “I would love to accompany you into town.†They agreed to meet back there at dusk, and from there make their plans. She was still a little surprised by what had happened in her morning, but she was more than certain that her night would be even better.

    Deneira

    Tower Guard

  6. Deneira was once again, leaving the office of the Mistress of Trainees. She thought that once a day was more than enough for Ginae to see her. Light, she might as well just get a cot in the office... at least it would save Ginae in paper and ink, and Deneira wouldnt waist her time and energy running to the office.

At least this meeting had been somewhat... civil. Apparantly, Deneira had been raised to the rank of Lieutenant for the Blue Team. The light only knew why she was chosen, but she was, and so she had to go meet the captain... Shawn. She had never met him, at least not properly, but had seen him. Over the past few months of training with Aran, he had introduced her to Lyv, who was the teacher of Shawn. So, they knew eachother in the end.

She returned to the trainee quarters to find Shawn and another boy. She listened to the conversation for a moment, then stepped up to answer the question of the other boy. "Depends on how much trouble you mind getting into and the punishment you will take."

Smiling at the boys, Deneira turned to Shawn, and offered her hand. "Lyv's trainee, right? Well, I am Deneira... your Lieutenant. Nice to meet you Shawn."

She turned to the other boy, and offered her hand to him. "Like I said, Deneira, Blue Team, Lieutenant. And you are?" Light, he looked familiar...

  7. Christine almost jumped out of the bed. He couldnt go... what would she do? There was no way she would sleep anymore, and this man had caught her attention... and she was an Aes Sedai now, so there was no way he would disobey her.

She shut and locked the door with the power, and he turned back at her. "Please dont go," she whispered. "Stay here and talk, or just stay here... anything! Just dont leave me alone!"

  8. Deneira was leaving the grove, when she felt a hand on her mouth, and someone wrapped there arms around her. She wasnt scared at all, because she knew it was Aran. He was laughing, and told her that they were going off to a party, and she joined his laugh. Good, if she was going to have a party, and Aran had something to do with it, then her party would be awesome. Light, everyone would be there, from Aes Sedai to Warders to Trainees. And it would be a crazy night!

The name of the inn was Siren's Call, and it was well known as a "party inn." Deneira could remember sneaking off to the inn a few times, and now she was excited, because this party was her party. Aran allowed her to go change, then whisked her off to the party. While they were the first to arrive, and immediately got drinks in their hands, she had a feeling that the inn would be doubling the usual capacity that night.

ooc: everyone post here, i dont care who you are, but get your butts onto my raising thread. I worked my booty off, so I get a kick butt party! Now post, drink, (someone get laid), and trainees... dont get caught!

  9. Deneira walked forward, nodding to her commander. Her feet seemed to lead her to the stone slab, and she kneeled before it, the light hitting her. The words flowed from her throat, her voice a little scratchy at first. “I come here unarmed, offering to give myself to the defense of those who serve all."

And so the ceremony began. "Who would speak for you?" She looked at Aran, her one good friend. "I would speak for her, she is fit." Thank you Aran, for remembering the words. "Who would trust you?" She turned her eyes to Sirayn Sedai. "I would trust her."

"Who would accept you?" And back and forth went her eyes. "I would." Once again, she mentally thanked Sirayn. She also thanked the Aes Sedai, who seemed to be glaring at Aran. "Who would witness your oath whose word is beyond question?" "I will." Now, it was all up to her.

“Do you understand that once pledged you are forever bound

to a rule of defense? Defense of all Aes Sedai, the defense of the

White Tower?" Deneira nodded her head, then spoke. "Yes." "Do you understand that once pledged you are forever bound to a rule of obedience? Obedience to your officers, obedience to all Aes Sedai?" She nodded her head again before speaking. "Yes." "Do you understand that once pledged you are forever bound to a rule of commitment? Commitment to serving faithfully, commitment despite any adversity?" She nodded one last time. "Yes."

    "Then give your oath now."

Light, she hoped she didn’t mess up. She clenched her eyes shut"I swear by the light and my hope of salvation and rebirth, as a Tower Guard to defend the White Tower and all who call it home. I swear by the light and my hope of salvation and rebirth, as a Tower Guard to serve faithfully for as long as the White Tower requires me. I swear by the light and my hope of salvation and rebirth, as a Tower Guard to fight the shadow and uphold the light until my dying day.†And it was done.

â€We welcome you to the Tower Guard, you that were known

once as Deneira l’Spada of Saldaea." Sirayn stepped forward and clasped the Tower Guard cloak over Deneira’s shoulder with her hand.

"We welcome you as Deneira l’Spada of the Tower Guard, our sister in arms. Rise and stand as one among many." Aran stepped forward with a long dagger- the dagger of a Tower Guard. "You came to us unarmed, and as our mark of trust we place this steel in your hand. May you keep it as a symbol of the trust that has been placed in you, and may it serve you well."

Deneira felt the Commander’s hand on her shoulder and closed the ceremony. "Spare a moment for those who have come before you and to who you have become, as shall those who follow you."

Sirayn and Aran left with the Commander then, leaving Deneira there. She sat there, just staring at the stone, a little in shock. She had done it… she was a Tower Guard. After all of her problems, and after all she had been through, she had over come. After losing so much, what she had gained was worth it all.

ooc: party on the TV board… you wont be able to miss the title… its truly something only I would write ;)

  10. Deneira just closed her eyes for a moment and prayed to the light it wasn’t an officer. After a few moments, she rolled off of him and just laid there. She glanced over at him, and smiled. "Hi, I'm Deneira. What’s your name?"

Ran looked at Deneira and said "Where you just paying no attention or did you want to fall upon me?" After he'd said that he knew it was a stupid joke. "I'm Ran, nice to meet you."

Deneira just looked at him for a moment, and then laughed. She was too hung-over to even try to get up, and after a morning of training, her body ached. He just looked at her, a little in wonder, and she shook her head, and attempted to push herself off the ground... not a good idea. She offered him her hand, and smiled. "Pleasure, I’m sure"

Ran took her hand and pulled her up on her feet again. "I'm glad you liked my joke." He smiled. The woman was quite pleasant to look at. "I hope I broke your fall a bit, you could have hurt yourself ugly if you'd fallen on the floor running that fast." Ran said to Deneira

He still held onto her hand, and she looked at him for a moment, wondering about him. Why hadn’t she seen him around the yard? Or even heard of him, for that matter. She just smiled and laughed. "Yes, I think you did break my fall... I’m just glad I didn’t break you."

The hand felt warm and soft. Ran kept holding it. "Yup, I'm still in one piece. And if you want to lie upon my again tell me so we can make an appointment." Ran laughed. Not knowing how foolish it sounded.

Deneira had to laugh at that one. How had she never met him before? His jokes were really stupid, but he was amusing her, and actually being kind of cute. He was pretty good looking too, which was always a plus in her book. Winking, she slipped her hand from his. "What if I don’t have time to make an appointment?"

She let his hand slip away but before the hands left each others he said "If you don't make an appointment I might be busy already," and he grabbed her hand tight again. "But then I'll reschedule."

She looked at him for a moment, and let him keep her hand. Smiling, she winked again. "Yes, but I might be busy. Time as a Tower Guard is almost always busy."

Ran let go of her hand and bowed. "Tower Guard?" He asked. "Recently raised then? Well of course I don't want to keep you from pressing issues." Ran knew he had to be careful with Tower Guards.

Deneira sighed as he bowed. How did she know that would happen? It always did. She hated treating people like that as a trainee, and she hated being treated like that even more as a Tower Guard. She put her hand under his chin, and smiled, lifting his face to look at hers. "I’m hung-over Ran... no pressing issues, and nothing to do. And please, I’m just another person. Don’t treat me like I’m old."

Ran's chin got lifted by Deneira. "I'm not treating you like someone who's old, but someone who's worth some politeness." Ran smiled. Nothing to do she'd said. But she was a Tower Guard. What to do?

She sighed, and nodded. "Just like how it always is... Let’s forget for a moment I’m a tower guard... What do you want to do?" She really hated those moments when people found out she was a Tower Guard... either they sucked up, or they where quiet.

"What I want to do, you ask? That's a much encompassing question." Ran smiled. "I'd rather ask what you want to do, not because you're a Tower Guard, but because you're the lady." Ran hoped she wouldn't be going to do anything weird, because he didn't want any trouble.

Deneira smiled back. It was a rather large question, but she wanted to see if he had the guts to say anything... different. Blushing, she looked around the yard. "I want to be clean, cool, and be out of this yard. Know of anything that will work?"

Ran smiled from ear to ear when he heard the answer. Her second question wasn't really one to be answered because they both knew what she'd meant. "Come, I know where to go."

Deneira grinned, and followed after him. It was a good thing he was reading her mind, because after all, she was a lady... and a Tower Guard.

    Deneira

    Flirt of a Tower Guard

    Ran Arosho

    As innocent as what

  11. Deneira smiled as she walked around the yards. It was a new feeling, being a tower guard. She felt free, for some reason, as if a wait had been lifted off of her. In truth, there was a whole new weight on her shoulders. She had to teach, she had to train herself, she had to get her own butt outta bed, and she had to take guard duties. She had a feeling the first and last she would hate the most. But at least she wasnt the low of the low anymore. She hated people looking down at her. It didnt matter if she was fresh in the yard, or the oldest trainee. In everyone else's eyes, she was just the bottem of the totem pole- everyone else's work force. Now, at least she had someone below her, even though there was many above.

It was about midmorning, and the sun was rising high. She was already sort of tired, but that might be from the left over hang over from the night before. She would need to pic her drinking nights a little better... but she never knew when she would be called in to service. how did all of the Tower Guards do it? Perhaps one day, she would get the hang of it.

She ran for a while, through the ogier groves, across the training yard, and along the wall. It seemed to help with her hangover, some, but she was thinking of visiting the infirmary... perhaps they would have something for her there. Then again, no one in there really liked hungover Tower Guards, but she couldnt blame them. Their safety was in the hands of all tower guards. It would only be natural that they resent the drunk ones...

She wasnt paying much attention to where she was running, she just tried to concentrate on running straight and not falling over. Of course, with her luck, she ran straight... straight into someone. Even better, she fell... she tripped and fell over him. And she knew it was a him. She could hear him muttering curses, and she just groaned. Light, why this morning?

    Deneira

    Hungover Tower Guard

  12. Deneira had seen him once, and she figured that that was the end of that. She continued on with her week, fine, getting up every morning and doing her routine, then repeating it again before she went to bed. She thought about it once, just pondering how weird it was that he would glance at her, let alone give her any attention, but the idea that he was thinking of her was… unimaginable.

But she saw him again. It was just over a week later, and she was repeating her morning routine. She was just getting back from her run when she saw him. Getting some water, she saw him, and his eyes were on her. She looked over her shoulder, and saw no one, then looked around the yard some. Strange… the yard seemed more empty than usual. She wondered who would make the first move, and she glanced away, pretending she was looking at her weapon.

Walking toward the training area, she moved into her first step, something basic, and it flowed into her next form. After a few minutes, she paused, wiping the sweat off her forehead. He was still there, just watching her. She felt like she had an audience, and continued to show off her moves. After another few minutes, she had to stop from the heat.

When she looked up, he was walking towards her. Light, what did the man want with her? The idea popped into her head that he wanted to teach her a new weapon. She knew he was the only one that used a whip, but she wasn’t planning on using that. Perhaps he just wanted to congratulate her on being raised. Often, the higher ups were the last to tell of any gratitude or praise. They all worked on their own time.

She tried to brush back the loose strands of hair on her face. Her weapon was returned to her belt, and she waited for him to speak. Perhaps she had done something wrong, and he wanted to correct her. Or perhaps she was in trouble. Or perhaps he wanted something of her. Or perhaps… perhaps she should just ask him.

He seemed to be a little worried, almost as though something else was on his mind. She smiled at him, and he came to stand before her. â€Good morning.†Bowing, she spoke. â€Good morning sir, anything I can help you with? He was most certainly her higher up.

    Deneira

    Tower Guard

    Not a Virgin

  13. Deneira woke up with the sun that morning. She looked around her room, one last time, then looked out the window. Light, she would miss her room. She would miss being a trainee. Yes, she was glad to be done with all of that pointless training and being considered the low of the low, but after four years, she had fallen in love with her way of life.

She would have to get new friends, new rooms, and new work. She might even have to teach on occasion. But at least she wasnt always on the lookout of being in trouble. She knew she would spend a few days in some office, but at least she wouldnt be stuck there day in and day out.

She spent her entire morning, just staring out of her window. She never left to get breakfast, she just sat there, and thought. Her roommates had left her alone that morning, knowing that she was sad enough. She was leaving a good position too. She was the Lieutenant of the Blue Team, and roomed with some good friends. The Captain would be raised soon too, but until that point, she was by herself.

Midday was fast approaching, and she got into her uniform. Some how, she made her way out to the Glade of Rememberance. She could see Sirayn, an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, and Aran, her only Tower Guard friend, up ahead. The commander was even there. And so, her ceremony began.

ooc: just post your thoughts and worries about the trainee and her raising, then i will post the ceremony.

just in case you wanna see it

  14. Deneira always blocked out the rest of the world when she was training. It was just what she always did. As soon as she entered the void, she just danced with her blade, and no one could stop her. She wouldn’t concentrate on anything else, just her blade. At 22, she was still a new Tower Guard, and she enjoyed the freedom. She loved to just run through forms and movements, whether they be advanced or beginners. It was a time that she centered herself and meditated with her blade. It was early in the morning, and already, Deneira was working hard.

She ran for a while, just running. She ran through the trees, she ran along the wall, she ran across the yard. She just ran. It was another of her daily exercises. She could run for hours, because she didn’t have to think. She just was. She would run, and breathe. Everyone saw her, and they all knew that she did it daily. It was just how she was.

But something wasn’t as it always seemed in the yard that morning. There was still the laughing trainees, picking on someone, and a new boy that was trying to endure his first few days. There would always be the watchful eye of the commander and the Mistress of Trainees on the yard, and of course, a few warders. But this morning, someone else was out in the yard… and he was staring at her.

Deneira had noticed it when she got back from running, and smiled at the man. He was older, not much, and she knew who he was. Alriand… a GrandMaster. He was the warder of a Yellow Sister, Lwena. The pair of them were famous. Now, she would have understood if she was staring at him. He was practically a legend. But his eyes were on her. Who was she? Yes, she had had a few male friends in her bed, and she was one of the newest Tower Guards, but nothing worth more than a glance. So who was she to him?

She continued on with her training, and was stopped by a few trainees she knew. They conversed for a while, and she caught up on the latest trainee gossip. She knew her friends would be raised soon, so she tended to keep in touch with them, knowing that when they were all the same rank, their friendship would truly be renewed.

She kept looking up on occasion, and he was occasionally glancing at her. At one point, their eyes met, and they were held there until someone went to him, talking, and broke his attention. Next time she looked up, she gave him a smile, and headed for the mess hall. It was strange, that this man would look at her. But no words were uttered between them…

  15. Deneira heard a commotion behind her. Aran was still standing across the road from the tavern they had wrecked, and it seemed like some order was coming to the place… well, it did seem like it. She turned and saw the innkeeper, yelling at them, telling everyone to stay out. The soldiers fell out the doorway, and one in particular pointed at them. He yelled something about his mother, and Deneira turned and looked at Aran.

He gave her a cheeky grin, then winked. All of a sudden, he turned and yelled, “Now we RUN!†Deneira ran after him, and the soldier seemed bent on chasing them. She knew she was going to lose at least ten pounds that day, but gain it all back as soon as she drank all the water she could get her hands on. Aran was laughing and hooting and hollering, but she was afraid what the soldier might do when they caught up to them.

They ran inside a different tavern, and the solider didn’t notice, because he and his… crew, ran right on past. The got in there, laughing, and sat down, and both ordered a water. Deneira got her hands on it, and started drinking. Light, was she thirsty. Aran seemed to be thinking the same thing.

He turned to her, about to open his mouth, and she put her hand over it. â€I have learnt something today. The best way to get out of a fight is not to start one. So, don’t ask me to start another. I also learnt not to trust you. ok?†He grinned and nodded, then turned back to his drink. Ah, what a day it was.

    ooc: thread done!

  16. Deneira was glad to be out of the mess, and even Aran seemed pleased. She felt a little dazed with the alcohol in her and the roar of the fight, but at least she was fine and hadn’t broken anything. Aran looked like he might have been punched once, but if she knew him, he had gotten in a few more punches. The stood out front, and Aran had to stop her happiness. "You've done well, cept there is one problem."

A problem? She didn’t know what it was. She heard footsteps behind her, then someone brushed by. A lad, couldn’t have been older than ten. She didn’t understand, and when she looked at Aran, he pointed at her belt. LIGHT! her belt purse was gone! "Looks like you're missing something, you'd better go get it."

She glared at Aran, furious. He had to have planned this, she knew it, but what was she to do? Glaring at him, she turned and chased after the boy. “You, boy, stop right now and give that back!†Why did this have to happen to her? It was a hot day, and she ran as fast as she could. There wasn’t many people around, but they still watched her go, some laughing, some shaking their heads. They all knew a tower trainee when they saw one.

She kept running, and the boy disappeared around a corner She followed after him, his laughter fueling her anger. She kept running until she thought she would fall from lack of water and drunkeness. Eventually, she caught up to the boy, and he was stuck in an alley. He grinned up at her, and showed her his hands… empty.

She put her hands on her hips, and asked, “Did that man tell you to run by me, then run off?†he nodded his head, and she bent down to him. “I’ll give you a silver if you go up to him and steal his belt purse.†The boy nodded his head, then ran past her. She chased after him, and they ran back to Aran.

She almost stopped dead when they got there, and she watched the boy take Aran’s belt purse. “Give me my belt purse, and you will get yours back.†He glared at her, then tossed her the belt purse that was rightfully hers. She nodded to the boy that had Aran’s, and he hadn’t it back, then receiving two silver marks. “That is for actually returning the belt purse.†She kissed the boys cheek, then stood up and glared at Aran.

â€So what was that about? Trying to lose my belt purse? First you get me drunk, then you get me in a fight, and then you take my money! Very nice, what’s next, jumping off a waterfall?â€

  17. Christine walked with Talyn and Rosheen. So, now they were going to go to a party? this should be fun! She sat down at the bar, and ordered her favorite wine, something that was spicy and sweet. After a few minutes, she went beside Talyn, smiling, and gave him a hug.

"Congratulations, dear, on the raise. We are all so happy for you!" She gave him a big smile as a few musicians were setting up. That night was going to be crazy...

  18. She looked at him and around the tilted room, then looked back at him. Why did she have to drink so much already? Couldnt he have let her be sober for this one... "Alright, fine, start a fight then."

Grinning at Dene, Aran stood from the table. "Watch and learn." Wandering over to a table of soldiers he'd already picked out, Aran tapped the man on the shoulder with one of his more impudent grins and a silver in hand which he flicked to the soldier whose attention he'd claimed. "For your mother, I didn't have any coin on me last night, give it to her for me will you?"

He'd prepared himself to take the blow as the man decided to restore his mother's honour. Reeling from the punch, Aran crashed into a nearby table, sending food and drink everywhere. Not that there was any need for fear, the people at the table he'd just wrecked decided the soldier who punched him was at fault. Even as the guards of the inn began to make their way, more people were drawn in to help their friends, and soon enough, the brawl had begun.

Appearing out of the crowd with a shiner that'd take a bit to heal, Aran grinned at Dene. "Well, here's your test. Survive this until order is restored, speaking of which." Grabbing her, he gave her a good shove into the nearest person who wasn't occupied.

Deneira watched in horror as Aran tossed a coin at a soldier, and talked about his mother. She gasped as he flew across the room, and next thing she knew, people were throwing punches. Some how, Aran ended up beside her, and she was pushed into the fight.

She ducked the first punch, then returned with a punch, and half crawled her way back to the wall, then over to Aran, who was laughing. "That wasn't nice!" she said, then ducked as someone came flying at them. She pointed over to a side door, presumably to the kitchen, and yelled, "Over there!" Someone else came at him, the original soldier, and he was pushed into Deneira. She merely punched him hard once, and he fell to the ground. She looked at him, then at the crowd, and ran to the door.

Deniera watched in horror as Aran tossed a coin at a soldier, and talked about his mother. She gasped as he flew across the room, and next thing she knew, people were throwing punches. Some how, Aran ended up beside her, and she was pushed into the fight. She ducked the first punch, then returned with a punch, and half crawled her way back to the wall, then over to Aran, who was laughing. She pointed over to a side door, presumably to the kitchen, and yelled, "Over there!" Someone else came at him, the original soldier, and he was pushed into Deneira. She merely punched him hard once, and he fell to the ground. She looked at him, then at the crowd, and ran to the door.

    Deniera l'Spada

    Trainee

    Aran

    Tower Guard

*objects to that, because Aran is an annoying idiot that cannot get posts right the first time!*

  20. Deneira looked around as she and Aran stood in front of a door. “The Gold Duck†was the name of the tavern. She looked at Aran, and he gave her a wink, then walked in. She quickly followed behind. It was a large tavern, no rooms attached, just a restaurant and bar, more of sorts. There was musicians at the front of the room, and it was already about halfway full. She saw soldiers and merchants, along with a few important look people and a few townsfolk. This was the type of place she liked- it didn’t matter who you were, everyone was welcome in this tavern.

A large man with a white apron on bustled up to them, and asked, â€Table or bar?†They both glanced at the bar. It was almost completely full, with a load of drunks and a few soldiers standing around it. She didn’t know which to say, as there was a table in the back corner available, but Aran spoke for her. â€How about that table back there?†He pointed to the back table, and the man nodded, taking them to it.

They got a few looks from people, and Deneira didn’t know anyone. This was obviously not somewhere that the warders or tower guards went to drink. That was a good thing- maybe this way they wouldn’t get caught. Aran had taken her out that day to teach her about bar fights. She wasn’t nervous about the fight itself- just the fact that they could get caught by someone, and their lives would be over.

They sat down to the table, and Deneira looked around. There was a table of merchants to their left, no guards around them. Soldiers were in front of them, but they looked so drunk, they couldn’t fight. The bar was filled with locals, and two tables ahead were most certainly some nobles. Beside them was another table of merchants, these with only one guard. Now who would they pick on this time?

  21. Christine waited, and watched. She saw him leave the office, and the letter in his hand. It went into his pocket, and he ran off to the classroom. She pardoned herself from the sister, and quickly went after the boy. He got into the classroom, she could hear the door shut, and she half ran to the classroom, opened the door, and grabbed the note from his hands.

Channeling and unlocking the words inside, her eyes scanned over the letter as her heart raced. She let out a sigh of relief… for that night, she would not be entering the lion’s den. Thank the light that Sirayn had gotten this note in time, she had been about to make a fatal decision.

Turning to the boy that stood there, she smiled, and thanked him. “There are many people that are greatful to you and the service you did today. How about we get you back to the library?†He nodded, and she led the way. As they walked, she began asking him questions. Turned out, his mentor was Corin, and he was as good as bonded to Sirayn.

She stopped him, and looked him straight in the eyes. “You must swear to tell no one, expeccially Corin. Do you promise?†He nodded his head, and she continued down the hall, leading him to the library.

She opened the door with a breeze of air, and as he sat down at his seat, she glanced over the books. “What exactly are you reading about?†He told her of the assignment, and she nodded. Leaving him there for a moment, she went back along some books, until she found the right one. Opening, she took it back to him, the page beginning with telling of Manetheran. “When I was your age, I worried about battles and such. That is why I am a battle sister… studying battle arts is what I do.â€

She left the book in his hands, and winked at him. “You be good, little trainee. The tower has eyes in places that you cant even see.†And with that, she left.

ooc: now you, then corin, and a final post by you. this should meet your requirement, i do believe

  22. Deneira was hiding behind a tree, and she saw Ginae leave her office and head to the infirmary. She waited, and suddenly saw her come stomping out, furious. Her hair was shorter too, and Deneira had to laugh. Aran was a few feet away, napping, when she saw Ginae walk up and kick him. They yelled for a few minutes, and Deneira laughed. Something she said made him laughed harder than he already was.

Light, he was rolling over laughing, but Deneira got worried. How had Ginae figured out it was him? Did that mean she knew it was her too? That could be really bad. She yelled some more about being on his last warning, and he definitely messed with her, yelling something about calling her spike… but Dene was really worried now.

Did this mean that she would be caught too? She really didn’t want to be in too much trouble, and if the Mistress of Trainees found out… maybe she should turn herself in. but in the yelling, Ginae had never mentioned an accomplice… so maybe she thought she was innocent. Deneira sure hoped that was what she thought… and it had been pretty fun. Maybe she should do something with Aran again.

She was about to walk off, when she stopped, and went to Aran, who was still on the ground laughing. She kicked him in his side, and asked, “Now where is my bottle of spirits?†He looked at her for a moment, then rolled over laughing. He just layed there, and she shook her head, disgusted.

â€MEN! she curse as she walked off. They always got her into trouble!
