  1. Red Roses had to be the prettiest flowers she had ever seen. Coupled with Bluewort, the bouquet was one that spelled nice and looked very pretty in the infirmary. Of course, it was always a bother to come out to the Tar Valon banks to get it. Why hadn’t Cavana replanted some in her herb garden ages ago, she just didn’t know. Perhaps she should do that one of these days, but as she was dressed in white breeches and a tan shirt, she did not want to be bothered with risking anything being dirty. She was simply here to get some of the pretty herb, both for her bouquet and the queasy stomach she had handled the entire day. She felt a bug coming on, but she would never bother asking another sister for Healing. No, she would be fine with her herbs. And so she walked along the banks of the Tar Valon river, glancing at the great tower, her hands full of flowers.

A moan was heard from the water, and Cavana looked up from where here eyes had been on the flowers. Such pretty things, the blue and white standing out together on the petals. Walking slowly, she expected to see a dog that had drowned, or perhaps nothing. Instead, she saw an arm, and cloth. Dropping what was in her hands, she ran down to see a man. He looked familiar, but with the bruises and gashes on her face, she could make out nothing. It didn’t matter, however, who he was. He needed her help, and it was her duty to provide it. She quickly turned him over and looked for any weapons in him, but saw none. Again, checking to be certain he was alive, she Delved into him, looking for all of the pain. He was injured badly, worse than any she could do by herself. While she was the most powerful there was in Healing, this man would need the assistance of a few sisters as well. Bundling him up in flows of Air, she quickly picked him up with Saidar and began running, her feet barely touching the ground as she held him in front of her. She needed to get him to the Tower, and fast.

Dashing inside the gate, the guards saw her and knew her for Aes Sedai, and the man her patient. Cavana was often known by the guards. “A horse, give me one now!†she yelled at the nearest man, and he rushed off to bring her one from the small stable near by. Knowing a horse would be faster, she waited till he came out. Not even bothering with the saddle she was offered, her body pranced onto the back of the horse, the man resting infront of her laying on his stomach. Tossing a coin at the man, she rushed down the street, her horse rushing as fast as she could. â€Aes Sedai! Make way for the Aes Sedai!†she heard, and glanced back to see two guards behind her, helping clear the street. People rushed to get out of the way, and Cavana thanked the Light for these guards that understood her urgency. She must thank their Lieutenant at a later date.

She pushed the horse, harder and faster, her power held on the man as she kept Delving in, checking for the last bit of life in him. Still finding it, she pushed the horse as hard as she could, Healing the beast so it could keep going. Prancing into the Yard before the Tower Infirmary, she bounded off the horse and pulled the man with her, flows of Air wrapped around him again. “Desandre! Nicola!†she yelled to the sisters on duty. They came running out, and saw the man. Running back inside, she knew her sisters were preparing to help work on the man. “Grab the angreal, we will need it.†The sisters had to know how urgrent it was now, since she was calling for help.

She got the man inside and placed him on a bed that had been prepared. Ripping his clothes from his dieing body, she Delved in one last time, searching for every injury. Water had filled his lungs, there was broken bones and bruises, and his heart was failing. Connecting with her sisters, Cavana held the angreal in her hand tightly and began channeling, performing a mass Healing. She pulled every ounce of power into her body, and held nothing back as she pushed every bit of power into him, fixing everything. She heard a gasp as life came back into the man full force, and she let the power slip from her as they ended the Healing. Delving again, she saw that the man would be fine, while sore.

Holding onto the bed, she handed the weapon of Healing to her sister. “That is all we can do for now. Pray to the Light he is well, whoever he is…†She stared at the sleeping body, so frail and so tired, before pushing her own tired body up and grabbing a blanket from the bed behind her. Placing it over him, she smiled as she glanced at his hard chest and tight muscles. He could have been a warder, the way his body was shaped. He slept on, and she sat in the chair that Desandre pulled up for her. “I will sit up with him… bring me a glass of tea, and I will be fine for the night. Desandre looked about to hurt her for sheer stupidity, and Nicola looked at her in shock, but after another glance, the sisters left their Weaver at her post. “Sleep well…†she whispered to the man, and sat back in her chair.

Morning came eventually, and Cavana opened her eyes to the feeling of a crick in her back, and sisters as the watch was being switched. Miranda and Fayth saw her, and turned to look away as Cavana glanced back at the man. He was still asleep, but looked more peaceful than he had been the night before. Smiling at her good work, she got up and felt his forehead, no fever apparent. Good, then he should be growing better soon. “Get him some breakfast, Fayth, and some fruit for myself. Miranda, dear, please get me a glass of Willowbark tea.†The sisters jumped to do as she said.

With the glass of tea in her hand, Cavana got up and walked along a bit, looking over her items at her desk. Nothing else was very important at the moment, just the unknown man. The breakfast was brought back to her, and Cavana thanked Fayth. Returning to his bedside, she set the tray on the table there and ate her own breakfast, waiting for the unknown man to wake up.

  2. "Made you happy? Dene, you have made me the happiest man in the world. Stay here, I'll get breakfast." He slipped from the bed, and Deneira let the words sink in as she layed in the bed, still on her stomach, hardly able to move. She pouted as he moved across the room, but smiled as he went for clothes. She couldnt help but stiffle a laugh into a pillow as his butt swished as he ran to his breeches. Light, how had she never noticed that cute butt before? He glanced back at her once as she kept giggling, and made certain to kiss her softly before he ran out the door. Rolling over in the bed, she stared up at the ceiling, wrapping the blankets tighter around her body. She missed him already, her body cold without him, and she closed her eyes, taking a slight nap while waiting for him to return...

"By the Light and my hope for salvation, I, Anwashawn Ellessar, take you, Deneira l'Spada, to be my wife. To have and to hold, through battle and in peace, for richer or poorer, until the Creator takes us both. I pledge my life to you." Deneira's heart skipped a beat as they stood their, their hands held together, and he slipped a simple gold band over her finger. He kissed it softly and she smiled, a laugh ready to escape her lips. "And I, Deneira l'Spada, by the light and my hope for salvation, take you, Anwashawn Ellessar, to be my husband. To have, and to hold..." She continued her vows and then slipped the ring onto his finger, kissing it softly. The Aes Sedai heading the ceremony announced them married, and Shawn pulled her into his arms and kissed her thoroughly. "I love you so much, Shawn." He laughed and kissed her again before whispering back, "I love you too, Dene."

"Well, you'll be pleased to know we have the day off. I've an idea or two how we could spend the day, but before we get into that, here's your breakfast, love." Opening her eyes, she sat up in the bed and smiled at him as she saw the tray. Scootching over in the bed, she allowed plenty of space for him to slip in beside her as he rested the tray on her lap. Taking the glass of wine, she took a sip and laughed as he layed down half behind her, half beside her, his body resting on his elbow. Feeding him a piece of fruit, they both laughed, and she picked at the shirt he was wearing. "Well, before we go out again, I want you to... change your clothes." They both laughed and finished their breakfast before she set the tray aside and helped him out of those clothes.

  3. 'Mommy, when will daddy be back?' she heard from the lips of her sweet baby girl. "When he finally gets off guard duty, silly," said her young boy. "Now, children, your father will be home soon. He has to pay for the beautiful house somehow, and you know that he loves working," said Deneira, setting the table for dinner. A hot loaf of bread and some steaming hot soup was set on the table as she prepared her children to eat. Eight years now, she had been married to Shawn, and they had had Ren for 7 years, while Alina was only 4. It had been eight very happy years, and never once did Deneira regret their marriage. She heard the door open and turned as she set down a glass of water for Ren, ready to see Shawn. He stood in the doorway, smiling, and Deneira ran to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him softly. She could hear Ren laughing behind them and Alina jumped up, yelling, 'Daddy!' as she ran over to hug one of his legs. Laughing, Shawn slipped his belt off of his waist and handed his weapons to Deneira before picking up his baby girl. Deneira rested her head on his shoulder as they smiled, Ren slowly hugging his mother. This was her family... their family...

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Waking up, she felt lips in her hair and a hand on her back, rubbing gently. Her head was resting in the middle of his chest and she felt how their bodies melted together. Pressing herself closer, she hugged him up tight and held him as close to her as possible before looking up and kissing him softly. He kissed her back, and she knew that she wanted him, and only him. Their night had been warm, passionate, and loving. She wanted him to be with her forever, to always make her happy- she truely loved him more than anything. Their lips seperated and she slowly whispered, "I love you" before kissing him again softly and slipping back down to rest on his chest. "Thank you so much. You have made me truely happy."

  4. She felt a warm body pressed against hers... the smooth curve of his front as they molded around her back. The way his arms slipped over her stomach to settle just under her breasts and the way his legs just seemed to suck hers to them was almost too much as she opened up her eyes and let out a sigh. He was gently moving her to wakeup, and slowly Deneira peeked out from her veil of sleep. He kissed her cheek and explained the need to return to their room... well, if Shawn thought they needed to go, then they needed to go, and she was fine with that. The more alone time with him, the better, and with all these women trying to take care of her, she thought she would scream. Only Shawn was allowed to take care of her.

He left the bed to let her dress and she laughed under hre breath. He had seen her naked many times... perhaps he didnt want to see the scars she knew were there... was there a scar on her face too that he didnt want to look at? Was that why he was turned around? She didnt know, she hadnt looked in a mirror, and her whole body hurt, not just one area. She still got dressed but ended up falling down in a mess. Ready to cry at her inability to do a simple thing, Shawn looked down and smiled at her. He fixed the dress she had pulled on and picked her up like a ragdoll. Somehow, her head just seemed to slip straigh to his shoulder and she burried her face in his chest, ready to be with just him.

Finally, when they got to their room, he laid her on one of the beds. He situated the pillows to fit perfectly behind her, then covered her in blankets. Those eyes.. the way they stared down at her... the smile on his face... the care and worry in the contours of his brow... just how he stared down at her and seemed ready to just kiss her at any moment... Light, he had to love her. Although determind to stay awake, Deneira quickly fell back asleep, and was once again dreaming...

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Beautiful, if you sleep much longer, then I think that our son might start fussing!" Opening her eyes, Deneira looked around. What was she doing? Where was she? Her body sat up, and she realised she had no control. Who were these arms around her? And that voice! It was Shawn... "Well, perhaps if you got up to change his cloth, then he wouldnt fuss," she said, laughing as she felt a kiss on her stomach. Shawn kissed her lightly and she saw a very large stomach where her flat one should be. "And what of when our next one is born? Will you make me care for both?" he asked, and Deneira laughed. "Our next child will be loved just as well as this one, dear husband." HUSBAND! KIDS! Deneira felt about ready to freak out. What was going on? Where was she? Her body bent down and kissed Shawns lips softly, and Deneira couldnt help but throw everything into that kiss. She hadnt kissed Shawn since the night they had almost died, and never like this. It was so... amazing.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Did he love her? Did he really love her? Would they get married? Would they have those children? Was there a future between them? He had said he loved her... Perhaps he thought she was dieing when he said it. What if he only said it because she said it. What if they didnt know what love was? And they hadnt even had sex... perhaps that was why she was so unsure of herself with him at times. They hadnt had sex, and she felt like he was missing out on the inner piece of her... well, yes, he was missing a piece of her, but it was as thought he couldnt understand everything... she needed to have sex with him.

Opening her eyes again, she could see it was dark outside. Shawn was in the corner by the fireplace, making it warmer, and she sat up slowly, starving. She coughed slightly, and he turned around, rushing to her with a grin on his face. "Help me up for a moment, please." He did so, and she leaned against the wall. "Ok, now turn around." He stood there for a moment, looking about to laugh, and she glared at him. He turned around and she struggled to get all the buttons on her dress undone. When they were finally gone, she stood there in her bindings and underwear. Those she slipped off too, then sat back on the bed.

Slipping under the covers, she told him to turn around. He saw the clothes on the floor and then looked at her, shock on his face. "Shawn... will you please join me?"

  5. "I love you too..." she heard as she suddenly felt warm again. A soft hand was on her shoulder, and she opened her eyes to see Shawn's smiling face. "You're alive? What did you say?" He looked about to laugh and she smiled, closing her eyes softly. "I love you too," he said as he repeated it. "And very much alive." Laughing, she feebly reached a hand up to him and rested it on the back of his neck as she half pulled him down to her and kissed his lips softly. "Good," she whispered as he pulled away slightly. "Because I do love you." His eyes sparkled and shined, just for her, and she laughed softly as she glanced at his lap where a book was. "Get bored watching me?" she asked, and he shook his head no, sheepishly looking at the book.

His hand slipped into hers and she kissed it before slowly moving over in the bed, pushing herself to the wall, leaving a space on the bed beside her. "Please Shawn, please hold me," she whispered, her eyes silently pleeding. It took him one moment to kick off his shoes, unbotton his weapon, and slip into the bed beside her. His arms went around her as he helped pull her to him, and she rested her head on his chest. Closing her eyes, she sighed contently, her one hand slipping back into his as they layed pressed against one another. "I love you Shawn..." she whispered as she slipped back into dreamland.

OOC: didnt know where to go from there...

  6. Faerzyne settled back and glanced over her papers as the girl struggled into her seat. She seemed to be uneasy and almost defensive against the Mistress of Novices, and Faerzyne decided to just overlook it. Most new girls didnt understand that an Aes Sedai deserved respect, and she didnt want to waste her time punishing a girl that would probably not get it for a few months anyways. Silly girls... they should realise that Aes Sedai were obviously older and wiser, and that the respect should go along with the position from all.

After a few more moments, the girl spoke again. First clearing her throat, she recieved Faerzyne's slow attention as she looked up from her notes, as if to say 'ready to talk?' This girl had to be a noblewoman, the way that she rubbed her throat and tried to appear deep in thought. Silly child. “My name is Moa Nachiman. I have come from Tarabon, and a woman,†The girl stopped on her words and Faerzyne raised an eyebrow. “Uh, a Sister, brought me here. She told me to see you first thing after stabling my horse.†Faerzyne stared at ther and linked her fingers on her desk, watching the girl for a moment before speaking. "You will call the Sister that brough you here an Aes Sedai. She earned respect, and you will give her such. Have you been tested yet? Or is there some other reason you are in my office?"

  7. "There, there, child. It will be alright. I promise, your roommate will come back from the farm soon enough, and you need not worry about her while she is gone." Faerzyne sighed, comforting a poor novice that had just learned her roommate had tried to run away, had gotten caught, and was now at the farm. At least she had taken it like a real woman, and it was her roommate that was sobbing. "Why dont you go down to the kitchens, with this note," Faerzyne scrawled a quick note to the Mistress of the Kitchens and handed it to the girl, "and ask for your meal to be sent to your room. You are excused from classes for the rest of your day to try to study and compose yourself." The girl nodded and took the note, rising from her chair. "Now get along with you, young one." The girl left the room, and Faerzyne went to sit back behind her desk. Settling down, she heard a knock on the door.

Rising from her chair, the door opened and Evaida walked in, followed by a young girl dressed in modest brown. What right did this accepted have to just walk into her office? Yes, she was being raised soon, but she had no right to act as if she was a sister. They held a stare, and Faerzyne settled back in her chair, nodding to the new girl. Moa was what she had called her. Ah, well, a prospective novice. Evaida left and Faerzyne beckoned to a chair. "Sit, child. Welcome to the White Tower. As I am certain Evaida told you, I am Faerzyne Sedai, Mistress of Novices. How can I help you?"

  10. He seemed about to fall over, and she saw his hand tighten as he tried to speak. "I am...um...I'm Rion Adamar..al..also of Andor. Ashaman of the..Black Tower." He bowed awkwardly and Adawyn glanced at Covai, who seemed to be in his own world. "It is..a..uh..pleasure to meet you." He tensed for a moment then breathed again and Adawyn took another step forward, just two paces away from him. About to take another step toward him, this time to touch his chest, she noticed a woman out of the corner of her eye, walking up. Adawyn paused in her step, wondering if it was his sister or some other odd woman. She saw no ring for either person. She grabbed his shirt and tossed it at him before crossing her arms. Immediately, she didnt like the woman. Whoever she was, she needed to get away.

They glared at eachother, sizing, and for a moment their eyes held, both fiery and ready to fight, physically or verbally. "Anyone care to introduce me?" Adawyn gave her a half smile before glancing back at Rion. "I see I am not the only one with my eyes open..." Glancing back at the random woman, she said, "My name is Adawyn Seriba, and Covai is my cousin. I am busy at the moment, but we can talk when I am done, thank you." The woman's jaw dropped and Adawyn closed the space between her and Rion quickly. Taking the shirt from him, she dropped it to the ground, her hand brushing against his chest. "Please, keep training. I love how your muscles flexed." She fluttered her eyes at him and glanced at the random woman again, still standing their, envy and hatred in her eyes. Adawyn had the feeling she was on another woman's ground, but with that cute butt, only a ring would stop her.

Running her fingers back to his chest, she runs it down his arm, squeezing his shoulder before giggling. "So strong... you must have trained for hours. I hope you could teach me some time." Smiling at the still standing their woman, she rested her arm agaisnt Rion's bare stomach. "Is there something that you need?" This woman needed to go away, because Adawyn was determined to get her mark.

  11. "BARTENDER! I need another ale!" The bartender took one glance at her, and she raised a gold tar valon coin. He came over and took it before slowly pouring her another ale. Yes, she was drunk, but she didnt care. She just wanted another drink. Taking a long swig of it, she set it back on the bar before leaning back, picking at a spot on her pants.

A lad walked in and sat beside her, and she only gave him a glance. He ordered a steak, and she shuddered in her boots. Light, why would anyone eat that nasty stuff? Only a salad and fruit for her, it was healthy and kept her fit without too many runs around the track. Light, ten years ago she would have loved to eat meat and run or swim, but she had just lost the want and need to do so. Old age was certainly kicking in.

He wolfed down the meat and wiped off his mouth before calling out and asking, “Where would one find more information about joining the Tower, as a warder?†Deneira bloody near almost fell from her chair, and the bartender shook his head, walking off. The boy stared at her in shock, and she hit her forehead. Light, this was not gonna be a good evening.

"Are you sure you want to go? Reconsider... it is a big decision. I suggest you turn around, lad, and go back to your mommy before you try to join a group like us." Light, had she said us? She needed more control on her tongue. "Can't even bloody drink!" For the love of salvation, couldnt she control her tongue? "I dont think anyone should throw their youth away to training and slaving just to slip into nothingness."

His jaw had dropped, and she mentally smacked herself. "If you want to join the tower, then you will be a trainee. Give me ten pushups now, and then give me three reasons for wanting to join the bloody gaidin." He was still staring at her, and she glanced at the floor and pointed. "I am a bloody Tower Guard, and you are a TRAINEE! DO IT! It doesnt matter if i am drunk or not!"

  12. Mmmmm, someone looked very... fine. Adawyn smiled to herself as he twirled the weapon in his hands, and she bit her lower lip as she got a better look. His rock hard body was running with sweat from his intense training, and she and Covai walked closer... well, she walked closer, and Covai followed, trying to stop her. But what could he do? When Adawyn found eye-candy she at least wanted a few glances. Smiling at him again, she watched as he stopped, his chest rising and falling. Light, he had a cute butt. She had the extreme urge to pinch it just then, but put her hands behind her back before raising her hands up and letting the hood of her cloak fall down. Her eyes smiled at him as she shook out her hair a little, her eyes dancing.

"I...uh..didn't see you walk up. I was...was just finishing..." He seemed nervous... perhaps she had better make him relax... Walking up to him, Adawyn stretched out her hand to the weapon, touching it lightly before walking around behind him and letting her fingers lightly graze his back. Her other hand had to clench into a fist to keep from pinching his butt... light it was cute. "No worries, please continue if you want. I need to make sure I am protected after all." There was a slight pause as the man glanced between her and Covai, and she shot a glance at Covai who seemed to be glaring at the poor lad. Pausing in front of him, she dropped into a low curtsy, sweeping her skirts out around her.

"I am Adawyn Seriba, of Andor. Covai is my elder cousin. It is a pleasure to meet you." she rose back up from the curtsy, her eyes trailing from his feet, up his leggs, past his waist, along his chest, and into his pretty eyes. "And you are?"

  13. What a day... she two trainees had decided it would be fun to spar over some Aes Sedai, more than likely a green, that they had seen in the yard. They both wanted her, and immediately decided to fight over her. When would the trainees realise that: one, no Aes Sedai was going to drop their current "pillow friend" for a child of 16 or 17, and, two, that no Aes Sedai would ever be interested in a boy foolish enough to fight for her. Still they fought... perhaps she should teach a class on that, because she was bloody tired of breaking up fights and getting hit a few times because of it. Light, who would have thought that scrawny Daved could punch that bloody hard. Of course, he was probably still in the infrmary for the black eye she gave him, but that was no where near as bad as the broken nose and lost tooth that Cardon was dealing with. Bloody trainee.

At least she wasnt teaching anymore. Light, that was definitly a blessed thing. When Braxton had finally been taken to Tower Guard only a few months before, she had thanked the light and begged that it never happen again. She had begged Ginae, and promised to take on a trainee as punishment if she fould up... and she hadnt fouled up. There had been no drinking, no men, no parties, no fights, and no trouble. She had even said "yes, ma'am" to Ginae, and she looked as if she was going to have a heart attack from that one. Deneira would have poked fun about the look, but she didnt want to teach. Light, she just wanted to sleep and do guard and avoid trouble. And life had become boring.

The more that days went by, Deneira was slipping more and more into wondering and questioning life. After moving out of Shawn's room and realising that Alriand still wanted nothing with her, Deneira stopped trying to be serious with men and stuck to casual dating with the occasional guard and random merchant's guard. She had even slipped in with a lord for a time, but once his group moved onto a city, she had been alone again. Her nights had been spent with drinking, and life was just dull. With the loss of all the fun she had, which got her in trouble, days ran together and her nights were sleepless. What was the point of things? What were the answers to life? How could one truly be happy? What would happen in the future? So many questions, but no one to ask.

In the past few weeks, Deneira had started going up to the library in the tower library, watching girls and women reading books and and studying and writing. The browns had stopped staring at her, and had accepted her, but none said a word, and Deneira didnt want to talk. She wanted to read. She wanted to write. She wanted to learn, and to know. She wanted to ask, and then be answered... but who would teach a 24, almost 25 year old Tower Guard with no prospects of bonding, marrying, or children. She was an odd one, someone that no one, not even she herself, understood, and while it didnt bother anyone, it was still a thought in their minds.

And so, to the point in proper time. She was breaking the rules, sitting in a bar, drinking, but Ginae couldnt get mad about this one. There was no way she would find out. There was tops 20 people in the inn, including the people upstairs in rooms, the cooks in the kitchen, and the drunken band. No one knew her, and she wasnt getting drunk to party, but getting drunk because she was depressed. Even the ale burned as it slipped down the back of her throat. How much worse could the day get?

  14. Adawyn shook her head no, still drinking from her wine and eating a piece of bread. "Covai, we just arrived. I have seen an inn and a portal, so what is there to question? I suggest we look around this place some and you can explain or introduce me, then we can find me a room or something. I can assure you, as low maintenance as I am, a small room will not do for me to live in." She smiled sweetly, then went to one of her bags and pulled out a comb and mirror. Setting them on the desk, she combed some of her hair as he picked from the tray. "Bloody travel... now my hair is all... wierd." She sighed and just let it curl as it pleased, trying to finger pieces back. Returning the items to her bag, she messed with her dress and left cloak on, pulling up the hood.

Messing with her hair, she pulled it over one shoulder and let it come from under the hood, and pulled the hood low so that her eyes were almost hidden. Fidgeting with her dress a little more, she brushed out imaginary wrinkles and turned to him. "Ok, I am ready to go. Lets go see!" Not waiting for him to respond, she burst out the door, leaving him behind as she hurried down the hall. Going down the stairs, she heard him rushing behind her and she went out the door, into the cold sunshine, and turning back to see him standing there, rushing to keep up. "Well, come on! There is alot to see, dear cousin, and not enough hours in the day."

She glanced around, looking at the various buildings and people. She saw a man barechested, swinging a weapon around and fully intent on his work. Smiling to herself, she glanced back at Covai and asked, "Who is that? A soldier? A dedicated? I think I need to meet the people around here, Covai."
