  1. Moraine knew what was going to happen, she stated she would be thought dead but was not. Since she did not die, the effect on lan have to be placed somewhere else.  I believe she arranged all that happened, including severing the bond. It was probably uncomfortable for her but she knew it needed to be done and did it.  The 2 letters prove she already had a plan in place. Thom's letter proves she saw into what happens in the world of Finns at least 3 different ways or outcomes.  Give her a break, she was the only one who actually knew what was going on that day.

  2. Moraine knew what was going to happen, she states everyone will think she is dead. It seems to me she had plenty of time to make any arrangements she needed to both mask the bond and transfer it.  Also what ever happened to Lanfear happened while she was with the finns, and yet, you keep denying them any responsibility for any of the changes. She herself says Aliva is as strong as she was BEFORE being held captive by the finns.  So the finns were there when all these changes were going on, but sat and watched while unknown powers tinkered around in their territory. I don't think so!

I hope we won't all be disappointed if we ever find out what really happened in some of these small but interesting happenings

  3. Luckers  You Keep stating that this, that , or the other are proven facts

The aren't They are opinions only. Let me list a few.

    1. Lanfear was stilled going through the door.

    2. Lanfear was killed going through the door

    3. They arrived in a flash of light. (we only know that there were fireworks on the Rands side)

    4. The finns shunned or even killed her for coming because they dont allow evil there. (I might mention here that no one denys Slayer is evil, but he pops in and out of their territory when ever he wants to.)

In sumation Lanfear was stilled, killed, escaped,(or thrown out)Resurected in a new body , healed and put back in harness, weakened by take your pick, Death stilling, the DO, the finns or someone or thing totally new and unwritten about.

It seems to me that as in the case of Asmo, RJ left clues as to what happened but we just aren't picking up on them.

Oh by the way! thanks for clueing me in on the wishes thing. I did not know that before

I still tend to think the simplist explanation is the best

    as yet.

  4. Luckers,  Mats medallion proves the fins can negate the one power. So it can't be said they couldn't limit someones power. Just because there was a big commotion on our side of the door doesnt mean  that it was the same on arrival in finnland and if there was no flash of light there they both conformed to all the rules of trade. There are no wishes involved, only the answers to 3 questions.  It is questions about the dark that are dangerous not people of the dark. Also it had been so long since regular visits the finns seemed eagar to trade with anyone who showed up. The eelfins have already proven themselves to be sneaky and under handed in how they dealt with Mat. They gave him something different than he asked for, then tried to negate the whole deal by hanging him.

I believe they trade with her for the only asset she had then shafted her on the way out, leaving the DO with the choice of losing her or reserecting her.

When things get too complex my head hurts

  5. I keep remembering that Mat went through the same doorway, and neglected to set a price for what he got. So the finns set one for him. I would think Lanfear was old  enough to know how things worked on the other side of the door and wanted to get out badly enough to pay the price of a portion of her power, but the finns may have sent her out the same way they did Mat and the DO took it from there. As he then stuck her in moridins power in a different body just shows how PO'd was the DO about the whole matter.

Anyway as I said before I prefer the simple to the complex, but that's just me

  6. When she meets aliva on the hill she thinks she is as strong as I was before the finns held me captive. Since I am a simple soul, I tend to think her loss was part of the price she paid to buy her release from their tender care. Moriane has to wait for mat to break her out cause she doesn't have the DO to put in a word for her

But as I said, I am a simple soul and don't understand all the complexities as well as the rest of you.
