Ack! Closes eyes.. SPOILERS SPOILERS!!
I just finished reading Crown of Swords.

Can't tell if you are being sarcastic but considering Min is going to figure how to seal away the DO based on Herid Fel's hints and books I would say it was pretty important.
I may not have gotten that far in the series. I'm remembering the whole walk through the school and the (namesss...) proprietress introducing him to various people (who, of course... all have names)... Random talks with Fel..
The only tidbit I know from all that is a random indecipherable thought scrawled on a piece of paper, which.. we could have gotten without delving into the character.

Just finished Crown of Swords. You'll enjoy it. You can skip a chapter or three... No.. really. I skipped a whole section that had to do with a Forsaken.. I skipped a few sections with the Shaido and I didn't miss a danged thing.

In regards to introducing characters that have no use. I mentioned earlier (didn't I? ) that he'd introduce characters only to kill them off later.
One of the characters that came to mind recently was the whole 'school' scenes. What was the deal with that? Rand gained nothing.. He just discussed philosophy with the 'beloved professor' character.. He called Min pretty and distracting... Then was killed off. Useless waste of my time that had NO bearing on the story.

I voted for Lanfear until I read a bit further down and someone mentioned Min. There's an internal beauty that makes a woman hot. Like someone said.. Min if you DON'T like bat crazy. lol
Not that I'd vote for her, but where is Morraine on the poll?

That actually happened to me. Centuries ago when I was deep into LotR, my local library didn't have the Silmarillion. They 'borrowed' it from another library by request.

I find borders to be a pretty crappy store anyway.
They have a lot of everything but not much of anything... if that makes sense.
Makes perfect sense to me. A whole lot of something but it's a whole lot of nothing.
Well... our local bookstore (Hastings) has a whole lot of nothing. Comparitively, Borders puts an Angelic Choir in my head.

and from there it's just clicky click, booky booky. dangerous good fun
I'm also afraid that'd be my problem too.
I live out in the middle of nowhere and have to travel 2 and a half hours for the nearest bookshop, 3 and a half for a bookshop thats any goodWe have ONE (count 'em 1) 'decent' bookstore in town, but I use the term loosely. To get to a Borders or other bookstore is 1 1/2 hrs away.

Incase someone hasn't already recommended it to you, you should try the Structured Wheel of Time Discussion boards
No one mentioned it to ME specifically, but I saw it mentioned. I'll be fine. I'm not THAT far behind.

I'm considering a Kindle, but I think I'd lose the 'feel' if you know what I mean.
I'm just starting book 7 CoS.. I mentioned in my 'Welcome to DM' section that I had EotW sitting on my bookshelf for 'ages' (so to speak) until I got a haircut and my barber and I got to talking about books and mentioned WoT. I thought, 'I have that' and picked it up and have yet to put the series down. LOL
I purchased the first 4 (well 3 as I had the 1st) books, then was at the library for an unrelated task and picked up 5 and 6 and burned through those. Have 7 and 8 now.. Will finish them within a couple of weeks.
As to spoilers.. I didn't even think about that when I was reading some of the threads here and read the 'What don't you like about this series' thread and found out
Morraine gets resurrected
and
Faile gets captured by the Shaido
I went 'Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!' to the unwanted knowledge. Now I skim more carefully.
What you dislike most about the series?

All good my good man. I can glance and NOT read.. if you take my meaning. Please don't take my tomfoolery as admonishment.
