  1. Dang it's kinda hard to give a summary without spoilers lol.  Basically, the story centers around a character named "The Red Knight."  We don't even know his name until the end of the first book.  He leads a group of mercenaries (bad lot they are too; rapists, murderers, general nasty fellows) and is contracted into defending a nunnery (yeah just imagine the two groups in that scenario).  Fast forward and he's fighting to save the world against evil forces.

  2. Has anyone else read these books?  By Canadian author Miles Cameron.  At first, I had a little difficulty with the author's style, but the story is interesting enough, and I adjusted by the midway point of the first book.  Currently almost to the end of book 3 of 5.

Yeah. I think they want to end the handheld altogether.

Anyone who owns a Switch knows they already have seamless transition.

If you just get it a liiiiiittle smaller it would make a perfect handheld itself.

Also that rumor is coming from the fact that they announced they were going to have a main series pokemon game on the Switch. I think they are testing the waters. If it's a success we'll probably see Pokemon transition to a console title. If it flops they'll keep with handhelds for another generation at least.

For as much as they are innovators Nintendo is also very skittish when it comes to change. Kind of ironic imo.

I read something about how they had pushed the 3DS to its absolute limit with S/M and that a more powerful engine was needed to keep improving upon the games.  But a DPP remake on the Switch would be a perfect tester.

  4.

A friend of mine from Slovenia said that it's possible to log into someone else's account (provided they give you that info), and will be able to catch pokemon that aren't available in a particular region, i.e. Farfetch'd, Tauros, etc....  Theoretically, it should work.

Don't see why not. It gets a little trickier if you use facebook to login with it though. (I sure in the hell wouldn't trust my FB user/pass to a random stranger over-seas)

Oh no, I created a PTC account specifically for the game.  I didn't ask him what he used to login, though.

  6. A friend of mine is on level 22, and we started playing at the same time lol.  He said something about catching Pidgey while using a lucky egg, but I don't have the coin to try it out.

  7. Me!  The whole island trial part is what interests me most... there are 5 islands in the region, but nothing has even been mentioned about gyms or an e4 or Champion.  I just wonder if these challenges will replace that system, or are simply extra?  Honestly, the Z power moves are a bit ridiculous, but whatevs.  Overall, I'm excited for these.

  8. I just started playing about a week ago.  So far, I really enjoy it, although it is a bit repetitive.  Very, very few pokestops where I live (3 I believe), so it's been a challenge to level up (currently on lvl 6).

Edit:  captured Tauros as I was typing this post lol

  9. I think it was all part of the DO's plan to sow chaos, the whole Suain being deposed and the Warders fighting each other. I remember one of the Forsaken, either Graendal or Semirhage, thinking to themselves about the Salidar AS, and how they were part of the plan to cause chaos in the world. Don't have the book with me atm, so I don't have a specific quote.

  10. Memoirs Of A Geisha.

It was longer than I prefer, but I was so caught up in it I didn't really notice. I really like how Chiyo toughed it out through the years in order to reach her goal of being with the Chairman. It's not something you would expect from a nine-year-old. I'm fascinated with Japanese culture, so I'm probably biased towards it.

  11. In tEotW, when Rand and co. were at The Stag and Lion, during the dancing scene (Ch. 17, pg. 244) Rand notices a man sitting at one of the tables and notes that he is "the only unsmiling face he saw..." He describes the man as having "a scar that crossed his whole face from one temple to the opposite jaw, giving his nose a slant and drawing the corner of his mouth down." Lan says two pages later that the man is a Whitecloak spy. The man, to me anyways, fits the description of Sammael. At this point, I don't think any of the seals are broken yet, but it nags at me just the same. Anyone know if it is indeed Sammael?

  12. You belong to the Yellow Ajah!

Members of the Yellow Ajah focus on Healing, mostly the body with the One Power, but there are also those who seek to heal the mind in mundane ways. Yellows are firm in their belief that the One Power is the best method of Healing, and it is often said that they will try to Heal anything they come across. While Yellows care about the well-being of others, they can often be very arrogant, too self-assured and even flamboyant at times.

This is your result in its entirety:

    Yellow Ajah: 7

    Blue Ajah: 5

    Red Ajah: 4

    Green Ajah: 4

    Gray Ajah: 4

    Brown Ajah: 1

    White Ajah: 0

Not really surprised. If I could choose an Ajah, it would be either Yellow or Green. Even better would be if they joined into one ajah, but I don't think that would ever happen.
