Pretty normal behavior for a young man. The whole lews therin thing was pretty smart by RJ, it gave him a way to grow him up faster.

I don't know about that. I think RJ was quite the kinky dude. His characters are tripling up on the wives, pillow friends, LOTS of spanking and imprisonment. I bet he was a swinger.

Reread the last couple books recently. Something that bugged me is I was just not buying her passion for the Aea Sedai as an organization. I couldn't shake off how implausible it was that she took it all so personally. I could understand if she had decades invested in climbing the corporate ladder and had a real sense of ownership, but the stunt with making some 22 year old chick or whatever the leader is just lol

I agree with a lot of this. Out of all the characters I probably identify with Perrin the most. The problem with being a simple man/meathead is that you're really not that interesting. I'm well aware people love Elayne out there but the whole thing does seem like RJ was just writing out some romantic fantasy for himself. Her relevance to the story as a romantic interest is basically 0. I never cared for any of the romantic arcs in general. I wouldn't have minded if there was a scene with Rand and Moiraine in a hot for teacher kind of way though.

Lol best of luck to MBJ, I like him as an actor at least. Nothing suggests Amazon is the place you want to go to run this kind of show.

I don't know why anyone would bother with WoT going forward from a show running perspective. People hardly read anymore which is the real tragedy. Shows are just sloppy ADD fests because they have to compete with people scrolling on their phones. The Amazon show is all we're going to get. Maybe people will throw away their tech and read books once again.

Frankly this show was not gay enough, not by a long shot. Lan and Rand did indeed need more swordplay scenes, but not the sort that has been mentioned here previously. How about a little Rand strikes with Heron Swallows the Pork Sword?
