  1. Getting a Kindle is well worth it. And if you get the Kindle app, you can read on a mobile device while your Kindle is charging. All the devices on the same Amazon account can be synced so you can pick up right where you left off.
  2. When I first began this reread, I'd forgotten how childish and immature Mat was in the first couple books.
  3. So I finished Words of Radiance, and I had a tossup between rereading Crown of Swords or doing my first read of the Half-Blood Prince. I went with the Potter book.
  4. I haven't read a bunch of those. American Gods was really good and so was the Graveyard Book. Have you read Trigger Warnings? It contains an Eleventh Doctor short story that I really liked.
  5. 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea Also much of the original Sherlock Holmes canon, which actually straddles the turn of the century
  6. I'd been planning on the ebook price going down once the paperback comes out.
  7. Considering that my first time through WoK took me four months, I don't think so.
  8. I began my first read of Words of Radiance this weekend, and it's been so long (nearly three years according to Goodreads) since I've read The Way of Kings that I've forgotten a great deal. I think I spent more time today looking up stuff in book one to understand the references to what happened in the series already than I actually have reading book two.
  9. Jordancon is in Atlanta every April. You'd need another trip to the States.
  10. Apparently I hadn't updated my list since early February, and I've finished four more books since then. I'm almost done with Daemons Are Forever, the second book in Simon R. Green's Secret Histories series, which is a mashup of The Dresden Files and James Bond. I realized shortly after beginning this book that my first read of the original Bond novels is up to Diamonds Are Forever, so I figure I'll take advantage of the coincidence and read that next.
  11. Never have I ever played in a tabletop roleplay game.
