I'll go with Hannibal with Patton running a close second.
Oh. for the record, I think Attila should have been here even though he was a warlord. He was an amazing individual.

Hmmm.... you didn't like Goodkind? Pity.
But oh well, not everyone agrees with me!I'll try to name some good ones. :D
The Codex Alera by Jim Butcher is excellent. There are three so far and although the first dragged a bit they keep getting better and better. (His "Dresden Files" are a great read too).
Then there are the books "Mistborn" and "Elantris" by Brandon Sanderson. Epic books with engaging characters and plotlines.
And Fiona Mcintosh's "Quickening Trilogy" is definately worth reading! Great story, always another twist, just stunning!

I tried it(Gardens of the Moon?), but was bored stiff. I might pick it up when I don't have anything better to read but probably not until then.

The Quickening Trilogy by Fiona Mcintosh
Starts with "Myrren's Gift", totally awesome, definately a must read.
-
Hmmm. Not bad, I think I'd be willing to see what happens. But I'd caution you about posting bits of your writing, I've had stuff of mine stolen before by doing that. Not bad though, keep it up.

Deathly Hallows? I dunno, for some reason that strikes me as quite childish. Is it just me? Oh well, hopefully the title isn't demonstrating the level of achievement in the last book.

Hard rock, metal, Anything that has tons of guitar and awesome vocalists.

The philosophy is that of Objectivism, which was started by the reknowned author Ayn Rand. Goodkind is a big follower of it. It all has to do with the idea that man is a noble being who has no responsibility to live up to anyone elses expectations.

Those books are somewhere in my top 5 list' date=' and I'm all kinds of excited about the movie. Especially after seeing the trailer. Of course it won't be EXACTLY like the book... No movie ever is. What matters is if the director's interpretation of it makes a good story. December 15 is a long time! Bah![/quote']
I agree! I can hardly wait!

I liked the books, but I agree with Kadere on one thing. For everyone who haven't read the books, Varden are supposed to be armed resistence housed for safety in the kingdom/home of dwarves. And in the trailer they have them dressed like insane jamaicans(no racism intended)! I mean really, who goes to war in long orange, green, leopard, and blue robes??????

I wanted to thank you all for your suggestions. :D And' date=' in case y'all are wondering, I picked up "Wizard's First Rule" which is apparently the first in this "Sword of Truth" series. I tried to look for A Song of Ice and Fire, but I found Goodkind's book first (I guess he just put out a new one, "Phantom") so that's what I went with.[/quote']
HAHA! Good choice!!!!! Tell me if you like it. I think I am one of only maybe 10 Goodkind fans on this forum.

I praise Ill Nino for making kick ass latin metal, Terry Goodkind for being the best author in the known world, Staind for being an awesome band, President Bush for refusing to meet with the Phsycotic Prez from Iran, myself for making great headway in my book lol, the dudes who made the Eragon movie(which already looks better than the book), and Jim Butcher and Brandon Sanderson for releasing awesome fantasy books.
