I must be one of the few people who don't like it. Rand's stupid dancing pose ruins it.

I'd like to see Whelan draw his interpretation of DKS's draft so that there is some degree of consistency between AMoL's cover and all the others. Otherwise it's going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Just wanted to say that after my initial, disappointed reaction, I've since read Brandon's blog post on the issue, and after a few days I've become totally OK with the release date decision.

After all these years, I'm not going to let a few extra months get me down. And a better, more polished book as a result? I'm sold.

Lol, is this some kind of early April's Fools joke?

Brandon is almost done with his 2nd revision but the book won't come out for 11 more months yet? I thought Brandon estimated the revisions would take about 6 months. Now it's a full year??

*Grumble*

The clock has been set. By the end of July, we will all have read the last book of the WoT. Can. Not. WAIT!

Actually aunt_pol, Brandon has mentioned that Team Jordan will probably be doing around 6 months of editing this time.

Brandon dropped the ball a bit by throwing out possible release dates before even having started to write the book. He knew he wasn't going to hit the hoped for release date of Nov '11, so he tried to placate fans by giving them a March-April '12 release estimate. Not that big of a deal though really.

I forgot about the Holiday season incentive. I'd think November is the likeliest release date now. A whole year to wait but imagine how amazing the book will be after nearly a year of editing and revisions!

Brandon has said he hopes to finish his first draft sometime next month, and from his latest progress it looks like he's on track. I'd expect that there will then be 9-12 months for editing and production.

Realistic release date at this point is somewhere between June and October. It won't come out any earlier for sure, but Brandon has mentioned before that Team Jordan might want to take extra time on this book for editing so it could even be a November release.

I hope they take their time and make it extra awesome. What's a few months after so many years?
