I am more suspicious of big black birds these days...
-
I just remembered another off pronunciation.
My friend who introduced me to WOT pronounced Myrddraal like "Murder All".
Y'know, it fits...
-
One thing I've noticed, which does make perfect sense, is that the book-readers tend to mis-pronounce, while audiobook listeners can't spell the names to save their lives.

I do a few the same as you, and a few with my own particular flavor
Amys (AH-miss),
Birgitte (Burr-GEET) (same)
Ogier (OH-gee-ehr)
Rhuidean (Rue-IH-dee-in)
Taim (Tame) (same)
Elaida (Ih-lay-duh)
Demandred (Deh-MAN-dread)

Are gaishan not suppose to touch weapons?
Nope. Not at all.
LOC; Chapter 15"Sworn to obey meekly and touch no weapon for a year and a day"

P. 531 - Interesting, it seemed that Faile...
Should be interestingly.
Or replace the comma with a semicolon.

Yes, the French covers do seems to beat all in crappiness.
But my least favorite US cover has got to be LOC.
They're factually inaccurate, as expected, but what really drives me crazy is that it looks like the cover of a trashy romance novel...

So many questions, and so many answers. But unfortunately, not always the ones we are looking for...

The only others I recall with dark skin and blue eyes were Seanchan.

-Where do all those adam come from? Do some damane have a talent in making ter'angreal? Or were they all created by the time the Seanchan Empire was founded? In that case, how come they (who?) have made this many?
I imagine that yes, there are those in the empire capable of making T'A, and they produce new A'dam.
Though I see it as being similar to Suldam, in that the Seanchan know how to test for the ability, but not its ramifications. i.e. They know that a learner can become suldam, but not that they can learn to channel.
In turn, they can tell that a given damane can produce A'dam, but not that they can actually produce any, and all, ter'angreal.

Has there been any indication of the size of a stasis box?
I have pictured them to be the size of a footlocker or a fridge, at most. This is due to the fact that there don't seem to have been any outstanding number of things recovered from them (at least, not that I recall having been revealed). I originally thought them larger, until I realized that the Gholam could fit into virtually any container.
It is unknown, of course. But Moridin has dozens of Zomaran, which are human-sized creatures. Aran'gar postulates that he found a stasis box filled with the things. (KoD ch3 At the Gardens)
Ah, I had forgotten about the Zomaran.
So presumably, they can be quite large, unless they posses some manner of space-bending qualities of which we would have no knowledge...
