First off, didn't Elaida have a foretelling that Andor or Cam would be the key to the last battle? I had started thinking it was about those dragons but then the end came. Now I think they will have to retake it and win a very important victory or basically it will become the epicenter of the fight and their win will require them to take it, thus it being the key. I also agree that what Verrin did was a very bad lapse of judgement. It could be perhaps because of the situation she was under but it seems like a gross misjudgement for someone like her.
The royal line of Andor would be important. The fact everyone except Rand is unaware he's of the royal line doesn't mean it's any less true. :)

I think the broken wolf is Ituralde... He's called The Wolf?
-
Sheriam's blue/silver/gold - she was in a blue dress, with golden rays of sun, with a silver axe...
I like the mislead that it was similar to Logain's glory...
-
Yep, done that. :) And the above is the result.
I DO think Moridin's capitialised on purpose - we've even been told a moghedien is a spider - note the lower case 'm', implying that it's not like German with all nouns capitalised.
So, if we change is to 'Death is no bar to my call' where 'Death' is Moridin, is that another prophecy? That the man Moridin can't stop the horn being blown? Or it will help stop Moridin?

I'm hoping RJ has a very large tome of OT sayings & language that BS will release one day... :/
tia = to the
mi = ? May be 'my' - 'mia' is 'my' in 'mia'cova'
aven = ? Might be something to do with trees actually - avendesora and 'tia avende alantin' = Brother to the Trees - alatin is 'brother' I think?
Moridin = a name, death
isainde = ?
vadin = ?
It's actually quite interesting looking at the language...
-
But generally I didn't think words got capitalised in the Old Tongue. If Moridin is capitalised, it's 'cause it's a name...
-
I wonder if the '3' could inc. Alivia... Drawing that much could kill Rand, therefore she's helped him die...
And I did like the fact that Elza served Rand 'in her own way' - showing that 'in her own way' didn't have to actually help him...

Quick question.
The numeral III. We know it can't refer to only 3 oaths per person (the BA hunters have got ppl to swear a 4th oath) - so do you think the number just refers to the rod? Or could it be that it divides the lifespan by 3 or something?
Which numeral was the one Sevanna got?

I will quote for you.
"They'd placed her head on the block and taken it off, just like the others. That scene would always be vivid in Egwene's mind--her former Keeper, lying with her head pressed against the stump, blue dress and fiery red hair suddenly bathed in warm, golden light as a thinner section of clouds moved in front of the sun. Then the silvery axe, falling to claim her head."
D'oh. Thanks for that. :) Nice mis-direction by RJ. :)

And why did Sheriam have blue/gold rays at one point in a Min Aura (much earlier book)? o.O She didn't exactly do anything redeption-y? And she's kinda dead now...
Is that a genuine Failed Min aura?

We know Cadsuane has a ter'angrel that interrupts weaves - and we know it's like Matt's:
For kcf, one of Cadsuane’s ornaments is a ter’angreal that can interfere with weaves. That is how she was able to disrupt Semirhage’s use of Illusion.So, in theory, could it be used to uncover Mesaana? I'm sure there has to be more of a point to it than just stopping ppl channeling at Matt?

"Tia mi aven Moridin isainde vadin." = "The grave is no bar to my call."
Moridin. Could there be a mis-translation over the years of what's on the Horn? Anyone any good with Old Tongue?

Rand will bind the Empress, not the heir, and when he spoke to Tuon she was not the Empress. There is even a certain irony to it--Tuon avoided naming herself Empress so that she could meet Rand as an equal, yet in response to that failure naming herself Empress opens her to being bound in service by him.
Which equally ironically means that Ta'vernen twisting doesn't actually mean that it's towards what the Pattern needs. And says that Ran'ds Ta'verneness doesn't have too much effect sometimes. The Pattern NEEDED her to say 'no' so thay the attack on TV could happen, Rand's Ta'verneness getting a 'yes' would have directly gone against the Pattern (i.e. Egwene's dreaming & Min's viewings) - showing that Rand can come very close to forcing the Pattern away from its destined course.
Also, for prophecy, if she'd said 'yes', she'd have bound the nine moons to him as soon as she said she was Empress, and saying 'no' means she can still bind them to him. Gotta love a prophecy that can come true regardless of your actions.
And, I also love the fact that the Seanchan have such a simple way of doing things... Married 'cause they said it 3 times, coronation from saying 3 words, demoting by 'your name is...'
Also, I noticed all the da'covele knew the words to the coronation song - they must've learnt that very quickly!
-
And appropriate - she's seen as a battle maiden by the Captain-General of the Green... :)
-
The Nine Moons as a whole is another name/identity for the Seanchan. Tuon was the "Daughter of the Nine Moons", not the Nine Moons themselves.
Where does it say it's an identity for them?
-
Ah, but Tuon isn't the DNM any more - so who is? Her heir? Or is The Empress also the Nine Moons?

Missed opportunity scene 1:
"You're WHO?!?" with Mogase... It seemed very slipped in there "Oh, yeah, Elayne's mum is alive... Now can we get back to you?"
I'd have loved to see that...
"My Lady Faile, I have something to tell you."
"Yes?"
"My name's actually Morgase. Morgase Trakand."

One thing I find very sad is that the oath rod WOULD have released Verin - it worked on Talene. :( Although I'm surprised she didn't try sooner in those 70 years...
-
Oh, another point...
Rand taught Narishma balefire, right? Narishma took Callandor after Rand. He who draws Callendor shall 'follow after' - have we not yet seen the significance?
And 'to live, you must die' - we know Balefire destroys the pattern, could Rand die at Moridin/someone's hands, then someone (Logain's glory?) balefires whoever kills Moridin? I'm wondering if we're being too over-complex with theories of merging...
Logic:
We've seen foreshadowing with Sammael killing Matt/Avi/etc and balefire restoring them.
We know Rand understands that Balefire removes the effects.
We know it counts as a 'death' (Matt's prophecy of to live and die and live again)
Therefore, if Rand orders balefire as he dies, he'll die (blood on Dragonmount) and then live again... Yes, it leaves Rand without a hand - but he's got 3 women... :P
And twice to live and twice to die - he'll 'die' one on DM, and then die in his old age (I hope) The other option is twice to live (as LTT and Rand) and twice to die (as LTT and Rand) - we may have overcomplicated that one?
-
While it didn't seem very RJ, it did make Egwene seem more human in the scene with Gawyn - 'I have to go order people I care about to attack other people I care about' - one of the best lines IMO... After all the WT stuff, it reminds us that Egwene is still human...
Although she's also turned into somewhat of a Galad - doing what she feels is Right regardless of consequence...
-
My thoughts with the 'three shall be as one' was Moridin/Rand/LTT - I'd never thought of Callandor. Now two are as one, I wonder if Moridin could still 'intergrate'?
And I wonder if Callandor's circle-of-three could be at all like the male a'dam - i.e. the women get control and the man's just a copnduit?
-
I've searched the book in that area & can't find anything that isn't strictly true... As far as I'm aware the only OBVIOUS lie pre-TGS is The Lie.
-
I lissen to the swedish translation of the books for the 3rd time now, and i was a little chocked when i did hear that Verin did lie in the white tower...and it was Egwene who did hear it. It was when Verin was to explain about what the girls have done when they did "run away" 3rd book.. She did tell a clear lie to one of the AS before explaining to the Amyrlin, and Egwene did think about it.
So..she did realy tell 2 clear lies that is proof for her to be a BA. The first time about Moiraine sending her, and the second time to a sister in the white tower about what the girls have done.
I can't find this example...

Ah, but Tuon doesn't use it to PUNISH, she uses it to 'train' or 'correct' the damane. Punishing would be if they misbehaved on purpose. Misbehaving becayse they don't know better is just 'correcting'
