Happy November, everyone! I can hardly believe how quickly this year has gone by! Anyway, with the new month comes time for a new Weekly Roundup!

First, in the ACW Tuathan’an Camp, the project of the month for November is Nano (Small). The monthly challenge at the Tuathan’an gives members and new members the chance to create something inspired by a theme, and this month, the theme surrounds NaNoWriMo. Follow the link to read the rules of the challenge, and be creative!

The Band of the Red Hand has two “Tune or no Tune” polls: What does the Fox Say? and “The Cup Song.” Tune or No Tune polls give you the chance to watch a video of a song and vote whether the song is good--a “tune”--or bad--“no tune.”

The Ogier have an open poll on The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Have you read The Hobbit? What did you think about the book? Here is a place to discuss the novel before going to see the second Hobbit film later this month!

The Wolfkin have found a “Big Red Button.”  What would you do if you found a Big Red Button that is labeled “Do Not Press?” Would you press it, or would you leave it alone?

Hello there! Another week has gone by, Halloween is fast approaching, and it is time for another Weekly Roundup. I don't know about you, but I'm particularly excited to see what sort of goblins and ghouls come to my door this week looking for candy.

The Black Tower Tainted Days festival continues. Check out the Mad Lib game, the Taintometer, Tainted News, and the OP Tournament. The festival runs through the end of October, so there’s plenty of time for you to get in and enjoy the festivities.

Hello there! The Wheel Turns, and now it is time for a new edition of the Weekly Roundup!

First off, there is a very special event going on in the Black Tower for the rest of the month, a Tainted Days festival!  Events will include a new game called “Prisoners of the Black Tower” as well as Tainted Mad Libs. If you just want to watch the One Power Tournament, you can do that, or participate in any of the fantastic games going on with our Brothers in Black Jackets.

Do you have a burning question for Jennifer Liang? She has opened up a thread called “Ask me Anything!” in the General Board. So, go ahead! Ask her!

The Tuathan’an, our lovely rebranded Tinkers, have a fascinating October Challenge: Spooks and Spirits. Here is your chance to see what sort of spooky things our creative friends come up with or contribute your own haunted creation.

A new thread has popped up in the Ogier, a discussion on seasonal traditions.  No matter your country of origin or faith, you more than likely have some sort of seasonal traditions, holidays, or foods you enjoy eating during holiday times. Discuss them, your family traditions, or just learn what others do!

The Aiel also have a Halloween themed event: Aiel Hallows Eve! The Aiel have their own ways of celebrating the Spooky Season: Ghost Stories, a Witch’s Spell Game, Pumpkin Carving, and making Potions!

Hello boys and girls! October has started, another week has rolled by, and with it, another edition of the Dragonmount Weekly Roundup!

If you need your mafia fix, there are several games that are currently in the sign-up phase. First, the Dragonmount Mafia Board has two: The Metal, a basic game, and an Advanced Vacation mafia. The Aiel are also hosting a Halloween themed mafia.

In the White Tower and Warders Social Group, the Red Ajah has kicked off their annual Autumn Festival by announcing a signature contest . The festival, which will be music themed, starts on October 7, now is your chance to get an early entry into the contest. Design a signature for the forums with a musical theme!

The Band of the Red Hand has started a discussion about Martial Art training!

While the threads are not new, the Ogier Social Group have two ongoing discussions that are going strong. The first, the Change a Letter Game has been going since June of 2008. The second, about Ogier Gardens, is a great place to discuss home gardening projects.

A new bio has been approved in the Roleplaying Section: it looks like Sherper will be playing Luka Talkend, an Andoran who has decided to join the White Tower’s Tower Guard.

Hello! The Wheel turns, and September is coming to a close.  School is back. Halloween is just around the corner, and stores are already stocking up for the Holiday season.  Time for another edition of Weekly Roundup!

In the Band of the Red Hand, two exciting discussions started this week. The first was about a film that is a personal favorite, the Tenth Kingdom. This film, a miniseries from 2000, is about a magical world where our fairy tales are real. The second exciting tale came from Starrik, who tells the story of his Travels in Australia.

This week, the Black Tower discusses Stormtroopers vs Red Shirts. Would the crack-shot precision of Star Wars Storm Troopers win verses the keen survival instincts of Star Trek Red Shirts? Weigh in on the discussion!

Dragonmont’s birthday, the anniversary of Robert Jordan’s passing, and Talk Like a Pirate Day. This has been an active and exciting week, with much to report for this week’s Weekly Roundup!

First, allow me to take a moment to congratulate Dragonmount for its 15^th birthday. For many of us, Dragonmount has become much more than a fan site. It is an internet home. Thank you to both Jason and Jennifer for keeping it going all these years.

To thank Jason and Jennifer, some of the Social Groups celebrated in unique and fascinating ways. Shayol Ghul sent Dragonmount a menacing birthday card. The White Tower and Warders put the Jennifer, who was the Social group’s First Amyrlin on trial. And Jennifer opened a discussion about it on the General Board.

The Social Group formerly known as the Artist, Crafters, and Writers Guild recently underwent a dramatic change. As of this week, they are now Dragonmount’s own ACW Tuathan’an camp. The Guilds are each renamed to match the Tinker theme: there is the Artist’s Wagon, the Crafter’s Wagon, and the Writer’s Wagon.

The Aiel are feeding us this week. They are hosting a Culture Fair: International Food Market.  There is a thread for just about every style of international cuisine. Stop by and talk about food!

I am calling for applications for one person to join my staff of bloggers. Applications for this position will be open until Monday, September 23rd.

Description of the Job Position:

The open position is for a WoT Humor Blogger. This blog is a regular feature on Wednesdays. This person will be responsible for a short weekly column featuring a combination of existing WoT humor from around the Internet (e.g. Mat's Inbox, the WoT lightbulb jokes, the WoT Lolcats) and creating their own WoT humor content.

Job Duties for Both Front Page Blogger Positions:

1. Bloggers are expected to produce content in their respective areas for the front page once per week. They must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

2. Bloggers occasionally will be called upon to assist the Front Page Admin with brainstorming new ideas for features.

3. Bloggers are expected to dedicate time each week to the Front Page Bloggers Staff Board and the DM Staff Board. As members of DM Staff, they act as representatives of the members of DM and their input is vital in the decision making process. Bloggers should be actively engaged in discussions on staff boards.

4. Bloggers must be able to give at least a 6 month commitment of approximately 5 hours per week. LOAs will come up, of course.

Anyone who thinks they can fulfill the requirements may apply. Strong candidates are people who possess the following qualities: efficiency, writing ability, organizational skills, creativity, maturity, and the ability to work well with others.

The Application Process:

* Your DM Handle.
* Some details about who you are in real life, including anything you think will have prepared you for leadership (including past online leadership experience).

Well, another week has rolled by, and Dragonmount has a lot of exciting things going on. September is around the corner, American Football season is close, and children are going back to school.

Mafia players and people looking to play Mafia: Shayol Ghul is taking signups for Ender’s Game Mafia. Even if you are unfamiliar with Ender’s Game, you can still sign up and play the game.

For those of you who have a lot of books in your “to-read” pile, the Ogier Social Group has started a discussion on what I want to read. Have you ever been so distracted by all the books in your list that you do not know where to start? Go to the Ogier and seek some guidance.

The Wolfkin are playing an exciting game of would you rather? The rules are simple: answer the question of the person above you then ask a question in return. This game is an interesting way to get to know the Wolfkin, for those who are not members, or get to know the Wolfkin better if you are.

Finally, from the Entertainment Board, Dragonmount Fantasy Football is looking for people interested in playing this year. Did I mention that American Football season is almost upon us?

Hello Dragonmount! Since I was off on a leave of absence last weekend battling Klingons and Toasters at Space City Con, I’m going to give you an extra-large dose of the Weekly Roundup this week.

It’s August at Dragonmount. Summer vacations are wrapping up, school is about to start again, and Dragonmount has a flurry of activity!

Speaking of vacations, at the White Tower and Warders, the Brown Ajah is hosting its Travel Week. This is your chance to share vacation memories, discuss why people should visit your hometown, and to share your traveling playlist.

The Wheel of Time Cage Match has ended, and Asmodean has proven victorious over all his competition. Was there any doubt? Feel free to wear a forum signature commemorating this event.

The Black Tower is discussing the evils of texting. Personally, I think texting is evil mostly because my autocorrect doesn’t understand Wheel of Time terminology, but the Black Tower members have some other amazing ideas about texting.

Shayol Ghul is hosting Faction Olympics. While many of the activities are designed to prove which faction is the best, there are two activities that new and non-members can participate in: Twisted Fairy Tales and Roast an SG Member. This is your chance to let Shayol Ghul members what you really think about them!

The Wolfkin are hosting a Chili Festival! Here is the chance to participate in a chili dunking booth, Pictionary, word association, a scavenger hunt, and more! For those who are not already members of the Wolfkin, this is an excellent time to get to know this wonderful social group.

On the Roleplaying side, it looks like a returning Dragonmount member will soon join the Black Tower. I wonder what kind of "trouble" he will get himself into...

Hello! It’s time for another Dragonmount Weekly Roundup. I hope all our Canadian friends had a great Canada Day, and all our American friends had a safe Independence Day! I know my July 4^th was busy!

First up, the Wheel of Time Cage Matches are in full force! Week Two, the non-channelers bracket, pits Tam vs Slayer, Uno vs Galad, Faile vs Berelain, and Sulin vs Tuon. Don’t forget to vote for your favorites!

At the Kin, July is Gleeman’s month! This is your chance to stretch your writer senses, tap your inner Thom Merrilin! Participate in a nanofiction challenge, tell a story with random words, and even participate in an anagram challenge. Those of you who are planning on participating in NaNoWriMo later this year may also want to visit CampNaNoWriMo.

The monthly challenge for the Artist, Writers, and Crafter’s Guild is Reinvention.  Reinvent or re-purpose something, and make an artistic creation!
