Trailridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in N. America. It peaks at over 12,000 feet, and is some of the only access to alpine tundra in the world. In this photo, you can clearly see the bottom of the road in the lower right corner. This shot was taken at over 2 miles above sea level.

These falls are visible from right off interstate 70 in Idaho Springs. My son refers to them as the pizza waterfall, due to it being right across from Beau Jo's pizza. (Now I want Beau Jo's)

This bird followed my family and I as we were hiking in March in the mountains. He would talk to us, come close, fly away and finally near the trailhead, landed in this tree and just watched us. It was amusing, Maybe he's the DO's eyes?
