Doesn't even have to be weaponized.

With Dirty Bombs, they can cause devastation just using by products of the enrichment process.

1. Those are relatively easy to detect.

2. These fears have been used for decades and there haven't been any credible threats, because it is very hard and very dangerous to access those biproducts in coverty ways.

1. Security at airports only check people going further in. It doesn't check you as you enter the door.. It doesn't check you as you drive in.

2. It's NK we're talking about.

We only have so much information on what's really going on there.

Why wouldn't they be looking into miniaturization technology?

Making smaller/lighter warheads with the same power, means you don't need larger rockets/missiles. The US/China/Russia are all keeping our attention at what they are letting us know they are building.

It's like me dangling some shiny keys in front of Trump, while I slap him with my other hand.

Those gaint yellow things they have at border crossings (and entering/leaving nuclear sites) are there to detect radiation.

It would be -really- hard to get any amount of radio active material out of a monitored site.

Which, it should be noted, was one of the many reasons why the JCPOA was/is a great agreement (and why everyone but the US is still following it).

Problem with the JCPOA is that it only delayed the Iranians from producidng weapons grade weapons. In fact it guaranteed that they would be able to do so after its initial term. It also did nothing from preventing the Iraq's to use slow methods of producing such weapon grade material even during the term of the agreement.

Truth vanishes in a cloud of poison gas

A huge international news story broke last week, but I doubt you will hear about it anywhere else. It seems very likely that the decision we, France and the USA made in April 2018 to bomb Syria was based on a mistake as big as the fictional weapons of mass destruction in Iraq in 2003.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the international body which examines alleged incidents of the use of poison gas, has just confirmed to me that a devastating leaked document from its Dutch HQ is genuine.

The document, written by one of the OPCW’s most experienced investigators, shows that it is highly unlikely that gas canisters found at the scene of an alleged poison gas attack in Douma, Syria, were actually dropped from helicopters – as has been widely believed and claimed. The claim is crucial to the case for bombing Syria. A copy of the leaked document can be found on my blog on Mail Online.

Yet the OPCW’s official report on the event made no mention of any such doubts. What is going on? The OPCW is a valuable organisation, containing many fine people, with a noble purpose, but has it been placed under pressure, or even hijacked, by political forces which seek a justification for military intervention in Syria?

Given that a decision between war or peace, affecting the whole planet, could one day hang on its judgments, I think the world is entitled to an inquiry into what is happening behind its closed doors.
