Brownie Quest (Sign Ups)

Times have changed since the Cleansing; in some ways things will never be the same. With Saidin cleansed Taint is becoming harder and harder to come by. The Black Tower is still as mad as ever (not all things change), but Cleansing Saidin had a dire consequence that no one could have foreseen.

 

For in the Black Tower madness reigns supreme, but there is something else that all those at the fairer Tower hold dear. One thing that is in danger of extinction. This of course is Brownies. Tainted Brownies of course. 

 

 

In these dark times a glimmer of light moves to attention. A rumor, neigh, a legend, is born unto the land. 

 

It is so foretold:

 

Deep within a faraway land untouched by the outside world lies the salvation of the Tower. Within this Land of Madmen the Taint blessedly thrived unchecked, molded by those maddest of mad. Not hidden or snuffed out through generations as it was in our land, but instead nurtured and allowed to grow rapidly. This purest of Taint was made into the purest of Tainted Brownies capable of sustaining the Black Tower for an eternity. Alas, these perfect Brownies lay out of reach. Only the bravest and most Tainted of heart can dare to travel to the Land of Madmen and claim this prize. Not all will survive; many dangers await. The danger must be braved, however, for it none venture forth and return, these purest of Brownies may be forever lost.

 

Will you venture forth into the realm of the Taint and Madness itself?

If you do indeed dare to partake of this quest sign up below for the quest of a lifetime. This quest can be attempted with as many or as few as are willing, though I will post 12 slots to begin with. Ideally this will be played in teams of three. Please note this is open to champions of all lands and regions (read other SGs can also participate if the would like).

 

This game will combine logic, skill, chance, and even pure luck. As the legend foretold, not all will survive, but the team who is victorious will be placed into legend themselves. And of course be showered in Brownies and points...

 

This journey will encompass many lands including the Black Tower, the White Tower, the Aiel Waste, the forests of Wolfkin, and even Shayol Ghul. Threads for the game will be set up in all of these groups (and possibly more).

 

Gameplay and Rules:

 

1.Each round teams will have three choices to pick from in a Choose Your Own Adventure format. One leads to safety, one leads to a challenge of skill or luck, and one leads to sudden death.

2. If your team chooses an option ending in death, or fails a challenge, one of your teams members will face a horrible death at random. Teams receive points as a whole so even if you die your team can still win.

3. During the week each round will last 24 hours which will double to 48 hours during weekends. If all teams make a choice the round will end early.

4. Only one team can win, but all teams can accrue points.

5. You are free to talk about the options and teams can choose the same options as one another. How you interact is totally up to you, but once again, only one team can win.
