2014 NFL Playoff Fantasy Football!

Recommended Posts

Okay, here's how this works...

Everyone gets to pick ONE player from EACH playoff team to field a fantasy team. You may only choose ONE player per team, so be smart.

These are the slots you need to fill:

QB

RB

RB

WR

WR

TE

K

DEF/ST

So if you want to put Marshawn Lynch in as your RB, you can't have Russel Wilson as your QB. Once a team is eliminated from the playoffs, obviously, your player stops scoring points.

If you want to participate, please shoot me a PM with your roster choices so we can keep them confidential. I'll post all of the official rosters some time before kickoff for the first playoff game.

Good luck and have fun!

And of course I get robbed of a Brown TD. If they're going to score on my Ravens, then at least get me some good out of it.

Yeah. I actually threw a pillow. We got 11 points out of him but that's all we are going to get... On the flip side, Sinister and JMM maxed out their D with 4 points from Arizona.

Just because I was working on it; these are the standings after Day 1:

This is how we got there:

Hang on, for AZ, there were 3 turnovers (2 fumbles recovered and an INT), 1 sack, and a safety, so they should have 13 points. The only way they lose those 9 points is if scoring matters. Same for Carolina (should have 24).

Didn't panthers get over 300 yards on the cardinals? (Thus 0 points?)

If cards had the safety (was it defense that got it?) I'd count 11 not 13. If I'm right on over 300 yards...

If safety didn't happen on D, then 4 would be correct.

I'm on my mobile now so I'm not to sure about it all.

Yeah the safety was on special teams. Carolina took an intentional safety on a punt to run time off. And also, yes, Carolina had 300+ yards offense. So Arizona should have 13.. 1 safety, 1 pick, 1 sack, 2 fumbles recovered.

You know what? I forgot about fumble recoveries because they don't show up in the score line and I've never used them before. I'll need to check my math on the other D's as well. I missed the safety, too. I'm making this too hard on myself. That's why I put everything out there - so you guys can check my math!

It will be reflected in tonight/tomorrow's post...

Yeah. You guys made some solid picks. I'm thinking about just removing the TE slot since we all have Gronk. He was just that obvious of a choice.

I didn't know what the hell I was doing and picked Gronk.

Though, I think that came down more to I used up all the other teams as well... So I couldn't have picked anyone else that made any kind of sense.

Well, you are actually in better shape than you might think. If Denver decides to keep the ball on the ground and CJ Anderson goes nuts, those of us betting on Demarius Thomas [and TY Hilton] could be watching you score big.
