Nandar Riatin, Welcome to the Black Tower!!!

Recommended Posts

My fellow tainted, please help me in welcoming our newest member... Nandar Riatin!

He has traveled from from the house of Riatin in Cairhien in hopes of joining the M'Hael and learning the wicked weaves known as compulsion in order to help him win the Game of Houses and eventually rise to the throne.  Even though he wants to join the shadow, and thus will some day face the forces of light on the battlefield, we may yet still sway his decision and get him to join the light.

So my fellow members of the light faction, and those of the shadow, please come and celebrate the decision Nandar has made in coming to the tower and joining our elite force of channelers.

Welcome to the tower! Sit down, have a tainted brownie or two, or three, and tell us all about yourself. :)

Thank you Thank you. I was reading through some of the rules on the black tower's separate web page and now I cant decide whether to be with the dark or the light! What would you guys recomend? I dont want to choose one and then switch later.

Thanks for them brownies, they're tasting oh so tainted!

Luckily for you, you'll have time to decide since you need to earn some points before you can choose a faction. You will get to know people and get a feeling of what you would prefer.

That said, the Shadow is clearly the best. :p

Welcome to the Black Tower!

Both factions are almost equally good, crazy and evil (with a slight variation in proportions). Try to get along members of both faction and you might find where you fit  .

The Light of course. It's either help the innocent and kill the evil, or kill the innocent and help the evil. And who wants that? There's a reason NO ONE out there in the world goes like "HAHAHA WE'RE EVIL". At worst they're saying they got a god that wants them to kill "unbelievers".

    • Neither did I when I looked for it. I had to get a grocery store manager to help me find it.     Looks like soft caramel in a can.
    • The end of book 1 is when the channeling and reactions happen almost at the same time.  After that he doesn't get the side effects of starting to channel such as taking chances, trouble moving his limbs, etc anymore and starts to experience the filth/taint.  So my guess is a channeler doesn't feel the taint until they survive the channeling and side effects happening at the same time part.
    • Re-primary debates:   https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-dncs-debate-rules-wont-make-the-2020-primaries-any-less-chaotic/     Sounds fair?   The early (6 person) 2016 debates on the democratic side were laughable, but that's an aside   They are clearly motivied to have as inclusive a field as possible. The idea of multiple randomly-seeded debates isn't a bad one, but it'll make drinking games harder.
    • Something I've been thinking about post-Bernie entering the race, though this article is about Warren:   https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/elizabeth-warrens-ideas-could-win-the-democratic-primary-even-if-she-doesnt/   If the policies which are primarily identified with one candidate make it into the party platform, does it matter so much who's on the top of the ticket?   I'll allow that it does, clearly, but this is a question of degree.
