keyholder21>>Dolphins looked pretty good last week, so I like that pick.

I thought so too. Here's hoping! :).

Cory is a copycat :tongue::biggrin:.

Consider me picking against the Bills

There are zero universes where the Bills go 2-0 this year

zero universes

Oh I know preseason doesn't affect/say much about the regular season. But you really can't compare vikings this season to how they played last season either.

Why not?  Are the players markedly different?  Whole new coaching staff?  What makes them so different this year?

The above will show the roster comparisons if you want to go indepth on it.

Some new Coach(es) this year. Some better defense (if you can even call last year a 'defense', and a similar offense that they had last year, with the addition of Cassle, so hopefully less Interceptions thrown by ponder...

And then there's this guy,

Actually from the town I live in. I have a hunch that he won't cave under pressure like some of the vikings have been known to.

The key pieces don't seem terribly different to me.  Cassel/Ponder is meh.  Zimmer is a rookie head coach an though his debut was impressive I'm not going to expect huge changes yet.  And the D lost Jared Allen which is pretty key IMO.

As for Adam Theilen, backup WRs don't typically make a huge difference in the end of season W/L column.

As one of the articles states, many of there veterans were recovering from injuries last year. So those guys may have been awful last year, but might (are) playing closer to how they did in 2012.

New defensive coach, even as a 'rookie' coach, is still better then there old coach...

Clov you must've not seen the Dolphins run all over the Pats.

All Day AP going ham this week

gg

Unless Adrian Peterson runs for 200, it's not going to matter.

5-0 baby, 5-0.

Uh, erm... 11-5?

This season, Vikings 5-0 (Pre-Regular season) Patriots are 2-3.  (Pre+regular Season)

Vikings 1st in NFC, Patriots 4th in AFC. Even though the odds favor the patriots, Vikings are going to stomp them.

I thought you were talking about your points in the contest.

The Vikings announced on Friday evening Peterson has been deactivated for Sunday's game against New England.

Guess he beat his 4-year-old son with a switch?

This makes me sad. I liked AP. Then again, you pick up a lot of parenting mistakes from bad parents.

Yep... Also incredibly bad timing at that. If this had happened months before the Rice thing, or months after, he might have just been suspended for a season. This will probably suspend him forever.

*Note*

Its hard to say what all happened with his kid and this beating with a switch. (sensationalist headline is a possibility. Or it could be accurate. Afterall many parents still spank these days. Perhaps this is his first time with a switch, and he didn't know how easy it was to do serious damage? Perhaps he's done it before, and truely on purpose beat his kid. I dunno. Eitherway as far as this game is concerned he's probably out forever.)
