As a Brit, it is good to see 3 British women in the Best Actress Award section. Personally, after the awards she has already won for her role in The Queen, I can't see much stopping Helen Mirren from winning the Oscar award for Best Actress.

I say my predicitions were pretty much on the money.

 

I would predict my winners, but then I would be going against the idea of the Oscar Pickem I am going to do. Stay tuned for more details.

[The Outsider]

I was very pleased to see Forest Whitaker win the Golden Globe for Best Actor. Back in the 90's I predicted he would win a Best Actor Oscar, but he hasn't managed that yet. Though he is the front runner apparently. Though, I was reading that there is a lot of sentiment for Peter O'Toole since he apparently has never won one (other than an hororary one).
