BlueCon 2013: TV Shows Discussion

Hey Everyone! So this thread will be the place where you can discuss your favorite tv shows and series with each other. This should be a lot of fun, and feel free to talk about any show but try to use spoiler tags in case you might say something that has a spoiler in it (or take another preventative measure).

 

There has been a ton of great tv lately. Dr. Who anniversary episode, a lot of great new and old series, and much more. What are you enjoying or looking forward to the most?

 

Right now I'm really enjoying Breaking Bad. Started to watch it after the series ended given all the positive feedback and everything that I heard about it. I really enjoy it! I'm 7 episodes into season 4 and it is so addictive, can't believe it is almost done. Excited for the finale as given how everyone reacted, it appears like it will be really great.

 

I am really looking forward to the next season of Game of Thrones. Not to mention the next book! Hope they don't stray too far from the book though, hate when they make what seems like totally unnecessary plot changes!

I like Mike & Molly, actually.  She's hilarious!  And Susan Sarandon was in the season premiere for the current season; like her a lot too.

Walking Dead, GoT's, House, Big Bang Theory and Bones.

 

And still love my old classics like M*A*S*H.

I love Bones, but have gotten behind lately - all the wedding stuff threw me for a minute. 

 

I like Big Bang Theory, but Sheldon reminds me of my brother and it drives me a bit crazy. 

 

I love Arrow this season, and the new comedy the Goldberg's is so great!

 

I like the cop dramas (although I get a little embarrassed to admit it) like Criminal Minds, Nikita, and SVU. Grimm is good but I haven't watched as much this season. I am really enjoying the Blacklist though - James Spader is so great!

 

I miss Firefly, and shows like Buffy and Angel - I still watch old episodes of those.

I am cyrrently following: GoT, The Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Californication, Walking Dead, The New Dracula (2013) series, Revenge. Good that I could record them and watch whe I will have time. And my fave - How I Met Your Mother but this is last season.

 

I never understood the big bang around The Big Bang Theory :(

Who remembers FarScape? That one was awesome, especially brought me into science finction and fantasy :)

Actually not, what brought me in was Lost in Space - the 60s series

I love Firescape! It reminds me of my childhood. Thanks, Pral. I know it's not fantasy but does someone remebers Married with Children? I was dying from laughter when I was wathcing it.

Exactly. The shows that we grew up are the best ones, no matter how cheesy they were, hehe. Those ones always remain in memory.

Probably one of my favorite shows ever was That 70s Show. Although in truth despite owning them all I haven't finished watching all of the seasons yet. Maybe over these holidays!

 

Are there any shows people didn't like or couldn't get into?

Yea same for me on Friends. I mean ok it was amusing but I think it was a bit before my time and then I never really started watching it. Same with Seinfeld .

I watched a season and a half of Breaking Bad and...meh.

These are some of my favourites TV shows: Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Friends, Six Feet Under, Community, Sherlock, Fringe... When I was a child I loved Xena.

I don't watch TV much but right now I'm watching Reign each week and really am enjoying it.

I have a harder time getting into shows that have a laugh track. I really dislike the idea that they have to tell me when to laugh.

oh Aida I do enjoy the Originals cause it takes a villain from one show and makes you root for them now =)  and i'm quite enjoying Reign too Ryrin

I just hate Klaus so much - I guess I should check the Originals out

 

I used to love X-Files and Fringe. Weird stuff like that always is so interesting to me.
