This is a fun site I found a few years ago and dabble in every so often. Basically you can buy stocks for upcoming movies and see how well you are at guessing at the winners. For example, I bought Indiana Jones stock a year ago at around $11.00 and now it is near $100. Basically the game starts you out with a million dollars and you go out and buy movie/actor stock. You can buy or sell stock at anytime. There are also mutual funds which are like movie genres or studios.

 

Overall a good idea and some fun. I have made over 8 million dollars and I am not that aggressive.

There are a few like this on the B.B.C. website like Celebdaq (specialises in Celebrities) and Sportsdaq (specialises in sports players).

 

However, I also dabble in a UK Stock Exchange online...but keep forgetting about it! lol!

You can also form groups and compete against each other.

 

It is fun to check out at least, and something to do when you need to kill time.

If not, well here is a reminder that this is a fun easy way to have fun with a fake stock market.... that deals with movies and actors. So far I have made 8 million dollars on it. Bah, I bought 25,000 shares of Barbarella and got killed yesterday. Tip, I would buy this stock as they just cast the lead actress - Kate Beckinsale or that is the rumor....
