Name the Aes Sedai

How many of you are familiar with the term "filk?"  Basically, it's fan songs within the sci-fi/fantasy community.  Imagine completing the last few verses to "Trust."  Mat thinks about how the last three verses include "the king of high," the "lady and the lord," and "the love of your life."  If you made up your own version, that's filk.  But there's another form of filk; taking tunes we already know and fitting them with WoT verses.  A great example of this is our own Ireond.  As the Humor Blogger, he does this frequently!  (You can look here to see some of his work!)

 

So, along those lines, I've written my own filk song, inspired by my recent trip to Arizona Broadway Theatre where "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" was playing.

 

 

The White Tower and the Amazing Technicolor Ajahs

 

Way, way back many centuries ago
Not long after the Breaking began
The female Aes Sedai of the world united
The help bring together and save the land

The White Tower, and and all the Ajahs
They moved their forces into the keep
The White Tower and all the Ajahs
Chose a leader for the Amyrlin Seat

The Aes Sedai and the Tower helped form the nations
Thanks to their skill in Daes Dae'mar
Kings and queens bowed down before them
Their reputation spread near and far

Dedicated to being servants of all

Using any means to make the Shadow fall

The Blue Ajah's dedicated to matters of justice

The Greens fight to save what the Shadow took

Whites and Browns both search of knowledge

One through logic, and the other through books

Warders: Matrim Hat-rim is showing off his abs, and Aes Sedai of all colors are rushing to see.

 

Blue: Daruya started a new game, "If I was Queen/King of the World, I Would…"  Be silly or be serious, but join in the discussion!

 

Brown: Cindy led the monthly discussion on disability.  She says, "Disability affects everyone in some way."

 

Gray: Elaevia has some free time, but needed advice on how to spend it.

 

Green:  Misheru showed how she protested for animal rights!

 

Red: The Whites invaded the Red, bringing a blanket of snow, and some hot chocolate.

 

White: Kukasö took a trip to Mexico.  Look at all the beautiful pictures.

 

Yellow: Sunrise posted some "eery, yet so awe-inspiring" photos.  Most agreed they were more creepy than anything.
