By Stephen King.  Sort of a companion novel to the Drak Tower series.  King himself describes it as Dark Tower 4.5. 

Anyways, for those that read it, do you think the whole Starkblast concept is a direct hommage to SoIaF?  It's a cold storm that comes from the north.  It seems almost an obvious reference to me, but maybe I'm grasping as a straw.  Anyone else read it/noticed it?
