There are some great names on these boards. so how did you get yours.

mines was chosen by Mystica in the Reds, because I was Tessa Sedai (close to my real name) and out Head at the time was Tess, so she chose some names for me and one of them was Talya...pretty boring really and not too authentic.

So how did you chose yours?

Mine was cause I was on my first (and thus far only) read of TFoH, and had just within the last hour before registering, read the scene where Morgase needs to escape Caemlyn and makes her way to The Queen's Blessing. I was really impressed with Basel's loyalty inn leaving his in to go with his Queen and abandoning the life he'd worked so hard to build to safeguard her. It was still fresh in my mind when I signed up for DM.

my email is WheelofTime13, so I just figured that I'd use it... and before that, 13 is my lucky number, and I couldn't come up with anything original...

I was reading one of the Dragonlance books, the only one I've ever read actually, and Cyan is a big evil dragon....I still not exaaaactly sure why I picked it. Think I tried my regular name but it was taken so I just started trying whatever popped into my mind

Mine is my Nobody name.

On a COMPLETELY and TOTALLY not related note, any KH fans out there?

You once told that it was your real name + x, with the letters in another order.

And my name is one of many names I created for a character in the book I want to write. This one happened to become my favorite. It was when I singed on up DM, and honestly it still is.

I was trying to pick a good name but whatever I thought of was picked up. So, at last I got really frustrated and used my RL name, Pankhuri. I planned not to stay so I figured it would not make a difference. This summer vacation I had to make a project on cyber crime. After reading reasons after reasons for not giving away your RL name, I decided to change. A couple of months of being lazy and asking for opinions on a couple of names I settled on Panchi, one the reasons was that it was as close an Indian name I could find to my name and one which made sense. So I changed to Panchi meaning bird

Well, I won't be afraid of people on DM knowing my RL name, tbh. I mean, of some people here I also know the RL name. And that's WITH surname.

Tsukibana = Japanese for Moon Flower, traditional girl's name.

A girl I know called me "Princess" the day I registered, and I was still chuckling over it.

(or maybe the day before) Anywhoo, I called her a Goat back, so now we are writing a children's

book about the adventures of a Goat and her Princess. (yes, that is the right order) :)

Changing was for random people who don't stay.

If I was afraid of not revealing then I wouldn't have said that Pankhuri is my RL name

It feels nice to have a different name.

But here my name isn't uncommon, far from common but i know of four-five other Pankhuris. One of them is my friend's sister. That caused some confusion when I visited her

Maybe its because Im in an English-speaking country, but Anglo names are just... dull to me. As well as Biblical names

(Note: Azazel is a KICK-ASS Biblical name)

There was a movie made years ago that I love called "Haggard". Despite the main character being called Ryan for the whole film, in the credits he is listed as Random Hero. I've adopted that as my online name ever since.

This version came after my Xbox gamer tag of Randumb H3r0, and I liked the numbers so I kept them.

Tina is the name most people call me. Hel is the death goddess in Norse mythology and also the name of one of my personalities. :)

Ever since I started working on the school I have thought about changing name. I have closed my blog and it's only my friends who can see my fb. I want a private life without my student or collegues.
