Archaon chuckled to himself as he thought of the impending doom of those whom called themselves Aes Sedai. “The Tower must crumble” where the words the Great Lord had said to him as soon as he escaped from that cursed prison. Being one of the first imprisoned the years seemed to have past in a blinking of an eye but that made no difference to him. The knowledge that he had been locked away for over three thousand years aggravated him. He was the one who had betrayed the Dragon's plot to the Great Lord and gave him enough warning to prepare the counterstroke yet these insignificant mortals don’t even remember his name!

Stepping through a gateway into Tel’aran’rhiod and into a land that was once his home. Although the city had fallen in the war against the shadow, here he could at least bring Mar Ruois’ likeness back. The Great Lord had brought him up to speed on the way of life in this age and of current events so he was not completely ignorant of this new world, however he despised everything about it and hated what they had let fall into forgetfulness.

It has always been customary for the one who call’s the meeting to choose its setting. Archaon smiled as a thought occurred to him and the world shifted and the high vaulted ceiling of the legendary Hall of Servants appeared around him. Archaon laughed abruptly as he noticed what he was wearing. His black silk tunic and breeches were gone and replaced by the uniform he once wore as a Aes Sedai/General of the Lord of the Morning including the Dragon down each sleeve. His laughter was as bitter as the laugh he had done the day he revealed himself and saw the look on Lews Therrin’s face as he was betrayed by one he had called brother and friend. Then his white clothes seemed to turn black as if burned and he was once as he was and the only white were that of the lace at his cuffs and shirt and the white of the Aes Sedai symbol that adorned the hilt of his power forged blade that had been frozen with him.

He took a seat in the chair that had once been his at the right hand of the Lord of Morning and draped one of his legs over the arm of the chair. A goblet of the finest red wine appeared in his hand as he awaited the others.

Time travelled differently here in Tel’aran’rhiod and Archaon’s mind began to wonder as he sat alone in the Hall. What have his Chosen brethren been up to since they escaped? Where have they taken for their seats of power or in some cases, their place of hiding? Despite what the mortals believed the Chosen were once human and still had some of the weaknesses that came with it. Cowardice was a vice shared by a few of his comrades but only a fool would think them any less dangerous.

How long had the first of them been loose on this world? Yet it still moved on as if the Great Lord did not exist. Things needed to change and these Light blinded fools needed to learn their place. Archaon stared at the crushed goblet in his hand and began laughing as the wine stained his cuffs red like they had been that day. He blinked and all was as it once was.

Archaon felt an all too familiar tingle on his skin as a flash of light split the floor. Assuming his previous seat he smiled and waiting to see who had arrived first.
