Do you mean you know two foreign languages or is the English the one you are saying is bad enough?

Posted

But multiple languages get mixed up so easily… oft times I can’t think of a word in say, English, when I know it immediately in German and IT WON’T COME TO ME IN ENGLISH!!!! >.<

This happens to me all the time in Swedish! The word will pop into my head in either Russian or English.

Its annoying. Bad enough that I have to learn one language, but two?

And irregular verbs are the bane of my existance.

I remember back in the days when I took Spanish classes. Verbs were always the trickiest thing about that language. Now, I take Russian and Swedish. Russian, it's figuring out the proper cases to use with each preposition or verb. Swedish, it's pronunciation (so far anyway).

I don't seem to have this problem... ever...

maybe I'm not fluent enough... I do all my thinking in English but I'm pretty good at Afrikaans if I have a little time to warm up that part of me brain

If you need any help, I can always give things a look... I did 3 years of Spanish and high school and another 4 semesters in college. >.>

I think it is useful to know two languages, at least, not only to communicate with more people, but to also speak my native tongue and pretend I do not know English when nosy tourists come my way .

I don't know Spanish. I know Hindi, English and Sanskrit(wee bit). And it happens a lot to me that I can think of the word in Hindi but can't find a word but it in English and when I do it doesn't have the same effect.

In Sanskrit, shabd roop are what I hate and karak.

Oooh teach us the ebul words o black cat

I took Spanish for a bit, but I forgot most of it. It's soooo frusterating when I try to say something in Spanish, but all I can think of is how to say it in Chinese
