Its a fun series if you like lots of violence and ample nudity. Its not going to win any emmies but its at least entertaining.

I watched half of Blood and Sand and didn't finish Gods of the Arena... and then I sort of stopped and started watching Game of Thrones.

Can't say it's on my top 10 but it was indeed a fun series.

The story and acting and the character development was all interesting, but in order to get there you needed to get through a lot of blood and gore which was a bit too much for my taste. 300 for example was a great movie imo but it only went on for an hour and a half. ALL of the Spartacus episodes have some sort of massive killing or blood shed in it which made it tough to watch several episodes in one go which is kind of the way I like to do it.

not to say it was historicaly acurate at all, but it dose kind of give a bit of incite into the roman mind, as sex and blood were the two main forms of entertainment back then.

It does at that. I really enjoy it when TV Series do that and make it as accurate as possible in terms of the living standards and style. Have you seen Mad Men? Does the same thing for the time of the 50's so I've been told.

This was the bestest series ever. It's got everything a growing boy needs..Hawt neked chicks, lots of fu(violence), lots of swearing, and Hawt neked chicks. It even has a the king of the midgits. It does have a few faults; namely too much male junk just hanging out there, and having to replace Andy Whitfield (Sparticus) after his death.

Sidenote: I swear by Jupiter's thingy that Anna Hutchison will be my future ex-wife.

Sparticus is on Netflix.
